    I usually buy all of the pearl whenever I go to the store. That way I can make any packet of clay into pearly clay

    Tip! Freeze the cane before slicing so it doesn't smudge. :)

    You could mix some big chunky/ glass glitter with TLS and pour (or just dab) into the center hole before baking for extra sparkle and realism. Great tute!

    What also might be cool is to bake them then create an alum solution and grow some crystals in the center of them! :D

    It's not a tube, it's a cylinder. Tubes are hollow.

      We used ultra fine glitter. The kind from any craft shop. These were in the kids section and not very much $$. Hope that helps!

    YOU CAN PUT SCULPEY CLAY BY THE HEATER FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND YOU WILL SEE HOW MUCH EASIER IT IS TO PLAY WITH.

    If I want to make coasters, does I have to finish it with something, like a coating? My mother does a lot of crochet. I want to make a set of buttons for her clothes. Do you know what I have to do to finish the buttons so it can be washed with the laundry?

    • @rosedolch8637
      @rosedolch8637 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is a good question so i looked it up for you.. > Durability Concerns
      Polymer clay by itself is strong, durable, and waterproof. Because of that it’s an excellent material for making buttons. But for polymer clay to be strong, it needs to be baked properly. And because strength increases with bake time, it might be worth baking your clay longer than normal, perhaps twice as long as recommended.

    • @rosedolch8637
      @rosedolch8637 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Use sculpy premo! or fimo professional.. they become very strong after baking

      I coat mine with dishwasher safe Mod Podge… even though polymer clay is basically waterproof after proper baking, it never hurts to add a little something extra to make sure!

    Great technical tutorial but I don't understand the taste of adding all these gold, shiny, pearly additions. Natural agates have no such thing. It looks tacky.
