I prefer the A8 D3. Not only does it look sleeker imo but the engines are also more reliable with the 4.2 V8 without direct injection. A year ago I saw a Ukrainian A8 D3 W12 and it was so beautiful, imposing yet understated.
Mine is a 2016 A8 with the twin turbo 4.0L. The turbo charger oil starvation issue was addressed via a recall. The turbines are now warranted to 120,000 miles. With ~55k miles I haven't experienced any of the problems you mentioned. Actually any issues at all but one. There was a small coolant leak that was repaired under warrant. I bought from a VW dealership and I believe the car has a lease in its history so maybe early concerns were addressed. So far so good. It sits outside but is always covered. The maintenance is performed by Audi except for state inspections and that only because Audi service is a long wait due to the recent boom in sales. Also I'm retired, drive few miles and another vehicle is the daily driver. As such my work truck see
Bought an 2012 a8l in 2019 I've replaced the high pressure fuel pumps, plugs and packs 2 twice, dang near ever gasket, the coolant gasket which is at the back of the motor and audi charge me $2500 to fix it, coolant valve, screen on mmi went out (fixed it myself) , parking speaker which makes the rear view camera not to work, and the assist camera which operates the cruise control which audi charged me almost $2500 to fix that too, I love the car but be prepared to put out
Can someone please explain to me what does ignition coil pack and spark plugs have to do with thermostat failure and coolant leak? I have a 2016 S8 Plus. Suffered from both thermostat failure and coolant leak. No mechanics I visited told me there is anything to do with ignition coil pack and spark plugs
They aren’t related issues. First issue mentioned is ignition coils and spark, second issue is thermostat failure causing coolant leaks. Are you hearing ‘thermostat failure and coolant leaks due to this’ as a continuation of the ignition coil problem? If so I’ll take that feedback on board 👍
We’ll be covering the Q7 gen 1 and gen 2 in future videos. The V6 TFSI has a mixed reliability profile. Timing chains are probably the area the look out for with any rattle or chaffing sound a possible indication of the guides failing or the chains needing replacement. When we do a Q7 specific video we’ll have more info as delving into consumer reports and manufacturer TSB’s usually highlights problem years and overall reliability 👍
The majority of the S8 plus are late models so they will have the revised part, however, an early S8 Plus for MY15 may have had the block and ancillaries manufactured in 2014, this could then have an earlier revision part the was superseded. For the cost it would probably be best to play it safe and get the part replaced on a service 👍

how is it?
any updates ..how you like it ..any problems, fuel consumption?
Say nigga update us
If you buy an older A8/S8, be prepared for leaks. Worth it if you are a mechanic with small arms, wrists, and skinny hands. Easier to work on.
Lol yes.
What year is referred to as older
@@yakboss1482 >2015 (roughly) anything near/beyond 100k miles or 7yrs old.

Does the S8 plus still have the issues with the oil separator?
