They sure knew how to cut a rug in King Cole's Palace. Great pacing, and it was really good plotting the way they took a standard Mother Goose Land cartoon and turned it into a superhero cartoon. And Mighty is a holy terror!
If not the best Terrytoon it is one of the best. Superb backgrounds and great animation from Jim Tyer. Carlo Vinci (worked later at Hanna-Barbera) also contributed animation to this cartoon.
XD My favorite funny seens: 2:39 - The dish ran away with the spoon, before they could meet their doom! 2:42 - The Mouse Ran Up The Clock, before the Wolf could sock! 2:48 - The Cow jumped over the moon. The Moon! THE COW JUMPED OVER THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!
And here I thought that Terrytoon cartoons we're just cheap-o cartoons that didn't amount to much in terms of historical importance or enjoyable animation sequences. This short proved me wrong.
There was a scene in this MM cartoon which all of the fairy tale characters got invited to Mother Goose's birthday including the Three Men in A Tub. But it wasn't included in this one. Most Mighty Mouse cartoons were unedited on tv.
3:56 Was that beating really necassary Mighty Mouse? At least let the Wolf finish his last Will and Testament. One of the funniest beatdowns in Mighty Mouse history.

Jim Tyer is the lead animator (you can tell by his "rubbery" animation).

There's something missing from this cartoon. The Three Men in a Tub scene. This cartoon is only four minutes and fifty seven seconds long.
TV prints were usually edited to about five (or five and a half) minutes.

I feel sorry for the wolf. He wasn't invited to the birthday party, and was beat up. Is it bad that I feel bad for him?
The Mouse Ran Up A Clot! - 2:42
Baker man, he'd serve a cake, it was a site to see - 2:28
The Baker looks like he ate two or three.
3:56 Was that beating really necassary Mighty Mouse?

+yosamwb Which scenes did Vinci do?
The dance sequence at 1:56, for one.
Aside from cats, Mighty Mouse's second archenemy were wolves. Wolves have always gotten bad rap in cartoons, or is it bum rap?
