  • A New ICE AGE Is Coming: Prepare To Freeze By 2050!
Scientists are forecasting the onset of a new Ice Age or a significant cooling period lasting millions of years. Over its 4.5 billion-year history, Earth has seen cyclical ice ages, hinting at the potential for another severe cold spell in the near future. Is the Earth on the brink of freezing over once more? What concerns does this pose for humanity?

      I’m an Idiot
      (Based on Monty Python’s I’m a Lumberjack)
Lead: I’m an idiot and that’s ok.
I believe all the lies I ingest each day.
Chorus: He’s an idiot and that’s ok
He believes all the lies he ingests each day.
Lead: Let’s cut down trees. Let’s eat our lunch. Let’s go to the lavatory.
Every day let’s go shopping and have buttered scones with tea.
Chorus: We cut down trees. We eat our lunch.
      We go to the lavatory.
Every day we’ll go shopping and have buttered scones for tea.
He’s an idiot and that’s ok. He believes all the lies he ingests each day.
Lead: I cut down trees, breathe wildfire smoke
      Bulldoze wild fields of flowers
What bugs me most is watching
Men dress up like me ma.
Chorus: He cuts down trees, breathes wildfire smoke
      Bulldozes fields of flowers
What bugs him most is watching
Men dress up like his ma?…
(As in the original, the Chorus starts to fidget and look nervous, but resumes heartily on the refrain)
He’s and idiot and that’s ok.
He believes all the lies he ingests each day.
Lead: I cut down trees, pollute the land, the ocean and the sky. I’m living large for right now. The rest of life can die.
Chorus: He cuts down trees, pollutes the land, the ocean and the sky. He’s living large for right now. The rest of life can die…?
(As in the original skit, during this last bit the chorus breaks down somewhat, but in this version finally attacks the lead singer)

@@eVill420 so you missed the part about the earth always heats up before an ice age starts? and most of the green house gases aren't man made, they come from decay of plants in swampy areas and forests. as plants decay they give off methane which breaks down to CO2, water, oxygen and hydrogen. And there is a correlation to sun spot activities and the heating and cooling of the planet. all of which he covered slightly in this talk. nobody is sure about any of these and the ones who claim to know are usually holding their hand out for your money.

Greenland ice core data shows the decent into ice age/Glacial periods occurs in a relative blink of an eye- only 3 to 5 years. Let me repeat- THREE to FIVE years, possibly FASTER. The climate around Atlanta, Georgia would transform into the similar conditions and temperatures of Labrador, Canada.
Growing seasons in 4/5 of North America would cease.
The current criminally misguided focus on AGW is 180° from the actual and certain climate change threat- an impending ICE AGE onset.

In the past 9 years I was seen 3 days of triple digits, two of those were from last year - a far cry from the up to 14 days worth when I first moved here. 60+ days of 90s are now 30 days, or less, and most of those are in the low 90s.
I used to track daily temps from over 1500 places from around the world, every place I tracked had the same kind of temperature drop as my little town of Auburn.

Because the sun's output has steadily and increased significantly over 4.5 billion years it makes sense to assume it will continue to increase. This makes a future ice-age less likely and reinforces the present predictions of global warming. No-one can turn a blind eye to this evidence and claim to be scientific. Cheers, P.R.

The Gulf Stream is weakening and there is a massive loss of ice on Antarctica's west side while a much larger accumulation of ice is occurring on its east central side, with a net gain of 80-110 billion tons of new ice per year since 1992. You read right. Thats 80-110 billion tons with a B. This massive change of weight is what influences the planet's tilt. We are talking about adding the weight of Mount Everest to Antarctica every two years. Since 1992, the weight of 15 Mount Everest mountains have been added to it. We are talking about close to 3 trillion tons. That is six quadrillion pounds. We add in our sun going semi dormant and our planet is about to have its orbit influenced by Jupiter and Saturn in 2024 and we have the recipe for another glacial period or ice age and not a mini.

Any changes would be extremely slow when compared to the life of one generation. The problem with this analysis is they sensationalize it by saying it will happen soon. Climate changes are VERY slow and in my opinion man has nothing to do with it. So we go into a cooling (or warming) trend. Big deal. An ice age will take so long to materialize that one or two generations will not even notice. Let's say it moves fast and we lose a degree over a thousand years. That is 60 generations of people. I think they could adapt. Let's say it gets colder and colder over the many of thousands of years. Humans, if they survive, will hardly notice anything over their short lifespan. This video is so full of misleading and outright bad information that I don't even know where to start. I suppose the best place to start is that we are, according to the vast majority of our planet's experts, in the midst of an ice age termination event. This is in contrast to the "some scientists" that keep getting quoted in this video. Those "some scientists" generally aren't climatologists and those that are in the vast minority. We are talking less than a few percent.
I guess the second elephant in the room is that the vast majority of our planet's leading experts, we are talking over 95%, also agree we are in the midst of a rapid warming period brought on by human industry increasing the atmospheric CO2 content of the planet's atmosphere by roughly 50% due to the burning of fossil fuels.
The one thing this video does sort of get right is that there is considerable scientific evidence that if the north polar cap recedes enough it will shut down the Gulf Stream which is a catastrophe in and of itself for a variety of reasons, but one of the side effects it would have is causing northern Europe to be colder since the gulf stream is what keeps this region unusually warm for its latitude. So as the rest of the world cooks, Europe might actually get colder.

@@kirbyjoe7484 Time will tell who is right. Too many "scientists" created false narratives of climate/atmospheric doom over the years. There are some things that appear relatively constant - the climate does change, human impact hasn't been the central factor, and it will continue to change. I'm more interested in hearing about natural cycles because they appear to have the greatest impact. But thank you for my daily dose of skeptism.

@@MaN-pw1bn No consensus of mainstream climate scientists have ever warned that the earth is "doomed" from climate change. Crackpots and outliers? Yes. But the mainstream? Absolutely not. Super important to recognize the difference.
The video is loaded with misleading facts and little lies of omission. With 8 billion human beings burning up gigatons of resources and thousands of volcanoes and trillions of organisms spewing masses of CO2 into the atmosphere every year, there isn't the slightest chance that we drop below 400ppm again, let alone low enough to trigger a mass reglaciation. Even if we did, new cooling periods progress by no more than a single degree per thousand years, so the scenario the video presents is quite ludicrous for any time in our near future.

This video correctly points out that more study is needed to figure out what is actually going on with Earth's climate. There are so many variables involved, and to focus on just a few of them, and then to set policy for what may be a short-term rise in temperature, is just reckless. What is needed is an integrated theory that looks at Earth's orbital characteristics, the sun's output cycles, gases in Earth's atmosphere, ocean currents, and volcanic activity, along with Earth's climate history going back millions of years. Such a theory would need to be tested and validated, and only then could we begin to see, properly, the long _and_ short term trends for Earth's climate, and what, if any, policy changes make sense. The current method for selecting policy changes is based on just a few variables, and a short-term horizon of 50 to 75 years. Such an approach may actually be counter-productive, if for instance, we knew a cooling period is very likely to start in the next 300 years as the Holocene inter-glacial epoch peters out. Unfortunately, the climate debate has become completely political, because the folks setting policy are no longer listening, and simply don't care about having an integrated theory that predicts the short _and_ the longer term climate trends. Earth's climate is a hugely dynamical system, and we do not yet have a good theory that integrates all of the variables. The people setting policy think they know what they're doing, but they actually don't - because a unified theory that accurately explains Earth's climate cycles must still be discovered.

We need a planet where tropical and desert weather is usually in the highs of 80-85⁰F in the hottest months and 70-75⁰F in the winter months... I'm talking about the highs. Tropical weather and rainforests can thrive in 70⁰F-85⁰F year-round and not suffer. Weather in the tropics has risen to a norm of 100⁰F for months at a time. It's as if oppressive summers is officially 12 months of the year. This planet is literally OPPRESSIVELY hot. I'm not lying. Everyone complains about it because it's difficult to sleep in or enjoy the outdoors in. 85⁰F is warm. The planet should generally be WARM in summer months - not SWELTERING (yes, the temperatures are SWELTERING these days). I'm being serious. The desert type of temperatures that I used to hear about as a child have become the norm as I've grown up. I remember being a kid and summers not being so oppressively hot.*
