I learned not to use the filters sold by Amazon for much cheaper price. Stick with Motorcraft OEM filters! I put on the cheap ones to save a few bucks. Primary filter leaked because the o-ring isn’t correct size and the secondary filter connection blew off and sprayed fuel all over till pressure dropped off. Lesson learned.
Yep never use anything but motorcraft filters. Also do not order motorcraft filters from eBay I bought a set once from there and the box looked identical to the oem motorcraft but when I looked at the filters I could tell they were counterfeit. I’ve never had an issue with ordering them off Amazon though, those ones are genuine motorcraft.
It’s for the water sensor. It senses water in the fuel which will turn on the water in fuel light on the dash letting you know to drain the water out of the fuel bowl.
By the Ford service manual. After disconnecting the sensor. Open the yellow drain. Rotate the housing 3 turns to close the check valve from the supply line. Let it drain maybe a 1/4 gallon. Than spin it the rest of the way off.
Excellent video with all the necessary info and no extra commentary. Well done!
Nicely done my friend...your personality would make a great tech instructor!
This guy owes me a couple gallons of diesel lol
Excellent video. I used it to replace the filters on my 2016. Thank you
Thank you! Extremely helpful!

Great Video. How often you replace those fuel filters?
Ford recommends every 15k miles, but I usually do every other oil change.

What sensor is the electrical for?

Somebody help me understand why mine never stops draining. Two gallons in and I stopped trying.

I let it get down to a half a tank then tried again. Over 3/4 tank won't trigger the anti siphon I'm told. Worked like a charm. @@3is.jay350
@@3is.jay350 turns out if you're over 3/4 tank it doesn't trigger the anti siphon valve.
