    Hi ,I just come to watch learn safe. software..But here my technical doubt also solved.I watched the entire 4 videos of safe...Thanks for your effort .
    If you cover Sliding and overturning,and Service check with water table,then it will be helpful for all practicing engineers.
    And one doubt..
    For footing we take moment at column face for design..
    In safe(eccentric footing) i got max moment away from colum face...which one moment now i have to take for design?
    In 4th video at 51.55sec
    Ast= (0.85*bd)/100, but u put 500 instead of 100,pls explain it sir

    Do we factorise SBC while calculation Subgrade reaction?
    Also, I was expecting 3rd session for podium buildings.

      SBC multiplied with FOS become Ultimate Bearing Capacity... No we do not use that for Subgrade Modulus calculation

      k= Safe bearing capacity/allowable settlement

      From which book.. See multiplying the F.O.S back with SBC means we r taking Ultimate bearing capacity which we never do .. multiply by 1000 may be for some unit conversion... so please do check properly . If u have seen it in book, there will be clear explanation of it too.

      In Bowle's formula it is taken as Ultimate Bearing Capacity / settlement... but we don't use that...

      Who said so? It is just an initial lecture to make the basics clear.. Moments are to be taken for foundation design ... If anyone is not taking then that's wrong approach!

    Sir, I have a confusion. If sbc depends upon footing dimensions and I also need SBC for deciding footing dimensions, then how can I deside the appropriate sbc value that should I take for calculating required footing dimensions?

      Will given in soil report.. basic footing sizes and SBC accordingly

      @@ilustraca actually my confusion is I need a sbc for calculating footing size, and I got a foundation dimension which is not same as soil report and as per required dimensions my sbc chances, then If I take that sbc and recalculate required dimensions, it will be different from previous calculation. Then how can I decide a adequate dimension?
