It was years since I’d beaten my first bosses outside of a quest-either Jad or Helwyr, I forget which. I’d beaten solo Nex for the first time about a month earlier during combat week, and I wanted to do more PvM. Death gave me an assignment: reap 6 Telos souls. In the past, I’d have asked for a reroll, but now...I thought it might be time. I prepared. I spent almost all the money I had on a Seismic Wand, Merciless Kiteshield, and Arcane Spirit Shield, augmenting and perking them up, even heading to Elite Dungeon 3 to level a Zamorak Spear for components to make an Impatient 4/Devoted 2 for my Virtus legs. Guides were pored over. Restore flasks were bought with what little remained. This music came on, and as the fight progressed and petals of crystal anima fell around the battlefield, I knew: I was finally ready. I beat 0% enrage Telos on my first try with my defense cape perk on cool down, no food, and with barely any HP left. But I won. Telos collapsed into the anima, and I knew I had succeeded. Five more kills followed, the last at 44% enrage, 33 Reaper Points were earned, and victory was mine. I do want to beat Rax and Raksha at the very least before I fight Telos at 100% enrage. But for now...I won.
I was really hoping they'd make a good song for telos, and I wasn't disappointed. really hype, fits the fight very well. it's too bad so many people play without sounds, I feel like rs music (and sfx) is really underrated
One of my favourite parts of bossing is how the game builds the atmosphere, I really love this music and it suits the boss so well! My top 3 boss soundtracks just based on how they reflect the fight are: Telos, Rax and Gregorovic
@@z_Blitzy_z Fair enough. Had a similar experience, however only 18b. (110b in todays discontinued prices) After that I started an iron man, but now I've started to play a bit on my old main again and amassed 2,2b again in about two months, starting to rebuild it.
How was he proven not to be a god? He was a mortal who conquered all of Tamriel and then ascended to godhood. He may not be Aedra like the rest of them, but he is certainly a divine.
I don't believe Telos was created by the Anima Mundi in the same way Vorago was. Vorago was created as a bi-product of the Anima Mundi's influence. Telos was created specifically by the Elder Gods to defend the planets Anima Mundi. While Vorago and Telos share roughly the same ideas as to defend the planet, both have very different ways of going about it. Vorago will defend the planet from the gods.. Telos will protect the planet from itself..
belandino well gonna have to disagree with you on mortal kombat, just don't see the connection there. But you were spot on with vorago, even the golems are like vits.
My favourite boss, don't think he will be superceded, no cheese involved in this fight if you are good enough you are good enough, telos fights hard but fair
If you're at Lords of the Wait when an update comes out, it'll take you the length of the track times about three (IE: recording, editing, rendering + uploading) to actually get it into video form if you render at 1fps from Windows Movie Maker. That's what I used to do, anyways.
Just an idea, what if someone made a first-person open-world version of RS3, and somehow arranged the storyline of the 5th-6th Age into like a campaign mode of a series of quests. Then, the multiplayer would be Pking or Pvming.
Already had that idea and I've been working on a project like that with a couple of people. We have the idea's set in stone, but we're still looking for an engine to work with.
Awesome, it feels like it could have also been in OSRS! It just sounds a bit like some of the exclusive OSRS songs in some parts. I guess that's because Mod Bond composes for OSRS music as well?
TIL: Most of the RuneScape tracks (Let alone OSRS and RS3) were composed by Ian Taylor and adam bond, that's true, but. when we voted to bring back the Oldschool Version (All of RuneScape comunity voted) we got ashleigh bridges as an additional composer for oldschool. and he composed some of the Zeah Tracks, Love Story quest, and Zulrah.
Not a bad track, but also fairly generic. I was hoping of something for synthetic sounding. The location of the battle reminds me a lot of the Northern Crater in FF7 and when first shown off I immediately thought of J-E-N-O-V-A.
If only the broken arse, janky streams and Telos' poor movement tracking in relation to trying to keep him away from them did not break the entire fight.
2nd best music in-game after Holy Zamorak even in 2024. Also 4k Telos is still a high achievement so Jagex did a good job future proofing it.
Epic music. I love the bosses in game that you can turn the music on and not actually find its music repetitive after an hour or so.
"Hold still, Invader." Thwack!
Mikey Field ...and get a 10k res!
Freedom+ move away
The way the fight does the rising choral part (like 3:41) as he charges up his instakill bomb gets me every time, it's so amazing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
All the tracks Bond made were so amazingly good.
Thanks! ;)

Telos is a philosophical term, for the ultimate goal or aim.
Perfectly suitable.
wdym telos theme is ass
Telos: "Hold sitll, invader."
Me: **Forgetting to use Anticipation and Freedom** "FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK"
The other good one is hitting it prematurely like a jittery spaz and getting stunned, so you sit there and let him take you.
@@SpaceMonke99 Give him his way with your ass
Tfw you've finished P4 on 102% enrage and there's a P5
Rez phase, like Final Boss from Gex enter the Gecko, for ps1 1998, man i love this boss.
Everyone was so bad on release
It was fun
Ive only gotten one Telos kill and I swear I did not hear this theme through all my panic when attempting this boss, man this one is epic!

Song sounds like a final boss theme for a triple A. Good stuff.
Thanks! :)
It sounds similar to Mortal Kombat that's why haha:

Love the track, something about the rhythm really screams 'Focus!". Perfect for a boss fight.
Telos is still the peak of EOC mechanics. Probably still the best designed boss in the game alongside Vorago.
Agree
LET THE ANIMA CONSUME YOU!
SO. MUCH. POWER!
Got my first Telos kill a month ago. Can't go back because I got the pet on that first kill. So this is my only way of listening to this epic music

Such an epic sounding boss right. It really fits as essentially your fighting the anima of Gielinor. 2nd favorite behind Nex's.
the sound of making around 20m an hour
Recently got my first telos kill after watching a 40+ minute guide on TH-cam. Epic music !!!!
Probably is the best boss ever designed by Jagex on launch. Practically hand-tailored to use all the mechanics available at the time
Sounds like an epic final boss theme in a video game. The music in Rs has always been amazing. This one definitely stands out.
Thanks! :)
Thank you :)
Epic song indeed, epic to the point I decided to make a metal cover of it.
Track fits the boss perfectly
This is probably the best track in RS3. 0:29 - 3:58
And I will never unlock this track, as I am a noob for these 4 generals giving an ancient sigil :(
I can help you kill them if you want, it's a 100% drop,
Omg yes! If it is possible to do that in duo, then add me: Lord SIGIS
Added.
Idk, that Vorago theme is pretty close ;)
It might've been a while, but the maze song still haunts me, the tune of this song is a reminder of that hour long maze...
This is probably my second favorite bossfight music track (behind Gregorovic)
Such an awesome boss.
Sounds great, can't wait to try this boss out
Trust in me,
Whiterun! Trust in Heimskr! For I am the chosen of Telos! I alone have
been anointed by the Ninth to spread his holy word!
But Heimskr, Telos has been proven not to be a god, doesn't that mean the Thalmor were right?
The Johnman I was thinking that too. Lol
Talos is actually the avatar of a god, Lorkhan, to be more specific.
How was he proven not to be a god? He was a mortal who conquered all of Tamriel and then ascended to godhood. He may not be Aedra like the rest of them, but he is certainly a divine.
I'm pretty sure Telos would tear Talos a new one any day of the week if I'm being honest
I've been motivated to learn PvM just to get good enough to defeat Telos for this song
lol telos is fairly easy at low enrage, just get virtus & a nox staff
and virtus wand & a spirit shield, and ull be fine
"bosses are easy" im maxed and cant solo vindi without half my inv and that's the easiest mechanic of all???? I dont get you pro pvm'ers.

Yeah.
It makes me wonder if they made it like that because both were created by the Anima Mundi.
I don't believe Telos was created by the Anima Mundi in the same way Vorago was. Vorago was created as a bi-product of the Anima Mundi's influence. Crank the track up to 1.25 speed. That's the track that should play at phase 5 =P
Also holy shit this track sounds MAD at double speed
Nostalgia
I would love to see this song and Vorago played at the same tempo or key. That would be pretty amazing.
You uploaded that quickly
If you're at Lords of the Wait when an update comes out, it'll take you the length of the track times about three (IE: recording, editing, rendering + uploading) to actually get it into video form if you render at 1fps from Windows Movie Maker. That's what I used to do, anyways.
Welcome to Yann's channel.
Telos is like Omega Supreme from transformers fall of cybertron.
Epic!
A song fitting for the hardest boss in the game.
Ah yes the theme of the most powerful lunch man in all of existence.
Just an idea, what if someone made a first-person open-world version of RS3, and somehow arranged the storyline of the 5th-6th Age into like a campaign mode of a series of quests. Then, the multiplayer would be Pking or Pvming.

Basically the plot from While Guthix Sleeps to Sliske's Endgame would indeed make a fantastic single player rpg game.
So this is what 120m/hr sounds like....
Never faced Telos but I do hear he’s the strongest NPC boss in game 🔥
Depends on enrage. Going off of 0%, he is definitely not the strongest boss since Raksha released. Max enrage? For sure.

I like the implication that the strongest boss in the game isn't an NPC, but a player
“Hold still, invader”
