- Should filmmakers work for free? There is no black and white answer that covers every situation, but there are a few good reasons to consider making passion projects, even when you're getting paid to shoot commercials and video content on a daily basis.
Without passion projects, I wouldn't have half the clients I have today...

I always feel I watch a movie on TH-cam when checking your latest video Aram! So much value every time you post a new video. I think even for non-filmmakers, this is great because in general without passion projects, we really wouldn't have the relationships/business that we have. Glad you brought the vegan piece and those who are into those details can make a big difference :) I also feel that when people say "don't bother, this project won't make money, etc." they sort of project their own insecurities (or whatever better word describes it) on us. This applies to anything really. Everything starts as a passion and then can turn into a real big thing. Recognition will come over time. So May/June next project? What type of short film is coming? OK if you can't disclose anything haha. 🎞

I've been struggling to make content recently, everything going on in Eastern Europe just makes content creation seem trivial somehow, you know what I mean? I'll get back on the horse soon though!
@@aramatkinson looking forward to the DM :) Yes I totally agree, it's just crazy and I keep thinking about the same on Eastern Europe. Have a bunch of initiatives going on to help refugees coming to Spain & France but need some local non-profit to get serious about it, let's see! :)
