You are absolutely right. Its like I never heard the originals when I listen to Angelina's jazz/blues version. I'd be the first (or near the first LOL) to run out and buy that album.
Emerson, I too love Lana Del Rey. I have seen so many people try to cover her stuff over the years, and they all fall short. Angelina is the _only_ person I have ever heard sing a Lana song right, and she not only does it right, she somehow does it better. The same goes for her covers of Amy WInehouse, Adele, Rihanna, Miley,... the list goes on and on. When she covers an artist, she is able to pick up all their little unique qualities, and then incorporate them into her own unique style of singing. She is a true vocal genius.

And she's like playing all the notes, all the lines and everything with ease.. no effort or whatsoever. She's killing the song like it's nothing. She's emitting the proper emotions and feels for the song as always. Better than the original as you said without her knowing that she's owning yet another masterpiece..

I think (the timeline of so many covers is hard to track) she is 12 here but she is all of 13 years old now which still stuns me. The way she can take over any song is crazy. I just saw a video she is rehearsing a country song "Jolene" which, I believe is a Dolly Parton song and she is singing beautifully while reading the lyrics from her I PHONE, It almost gives me a breathless reaction to realize she speaks three languages and English is her third. I adore behind the scenes so that we can all see just how her natural talents shows up without effort--she just goes to another place and wows everyone.
@@josecamacho3393 As far as I heard Lebanese because I believe her grandmother is from the Middle East somewhere (not completely sure which country) so it would be Norwegian, Lebanese and English (which I believe she is also continuing to learn in school back in Norway). I believe English is her last language learned.

No. As much as I adore Angelina's talent, she failed this time. That mysterious magic in Lana's voice is missing. A very good copy, but just a copy, nothing more. Lana is singing through the centuries and this here is shallow...
Understand and respect your honest opinion. Lana is very very good. But with this song in particular Angelina has a much richer fuller sound - filled with emotion. Her voice has so many layers and depth. Lana sounds a little thin to me. JMO.
Angelina needs to release a cover album... and the title should be "Better Than The Original"
