Although I appreciate the Dimarzios, I really love the shattering clean attack of the BBs. The Dimarzios are slightly warmer, while the BBs really deliver the classic Gibson thing. Both are GREAT, but the BurstBuckers do it for me.
Hello Sasha, awesome demo on both pickups, my favorite pickup Dimarzio Paf and then Burst Bucker Pro and they are both excellent humbuckers to own on Les Paul and now if had bunch Les Paul's I would put both humbucker sets on them.
Hello Guitarist 22👋 I agree with you. They both sound great! Unfortunately, I only have one Gibson and can't decide which pickups to keep. I really like the BurtBucker neck pickup. I don't know why, but when I changed the pickups to Dimarzio, the sustain of the guitar disappeared. With the BurstBucker, the sustain was very long, the notes just flowed like water from the guitar. @@ElvisSasha The Burstbuckers had more sustain. pickups are finicky some wont sound as good in some guitars as others. I have heard the 36th's sound incredible it depends on what guitar they are in.
In this test i prefer the Gibson BB set. Normally i really like dimarzio's but here the Gibson's were brighter, had more sustain.The only way i could make those dimarzio equal to the Gibson's is to use 1Meg pots.This would brighten them up and add more sustain.

@@ElvisSasha Your welcome. I use 1 Meg pots on any dimarzio i feel is lacking brightness and sustain. Dimarzio's are slightly "darker" typically over Gibson,Duncans, lollar, fralin and other Pu makers so the 1 meg pot equals things out.

Hello. When I bought this guitar, the sustain was quite long, but when I changed the pickups to Dimarzio, it seemed to me that the sustain became a little shorter. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. I tested these Dimarzio pickups on three guitars, Busckers, Gibson and Ibanez. And they sounded a little different on the three guitars. On the Busckers, the sound was bright and had a lot of mids. On the Gibson, the sound was a little darker. On the Ibanez, the sound was generally terrible. By the way, the sustain was the longest in the middle position. I played every day on the big stage for four months on a Busckers guitar with Dimarzio pickups and boss gt1 processor and the guitar sounded bright and with a long sustain in the middle position. You don't have to believe me. It is better to buy Dimarzio yourself, test them, if you don't like them, sell them. I always do that. I'm always experimenting. I hope the information was useful. @ElvisSasha Thanks a lot for your answer! I actually used guitars with dimarzio and one of them had a very powerful pickup (X2N) and I didn't notice a sustain problem. I'm not sure if the high gain compensates for it, anyway, I'm feeling adventurous now that you said it is worth trying it!

@@ElvisSasha Так, це я.))) Хам BurstBucker як на мене то реально круто звучить. Мені цей звук дуже подобається. На "дисторшині" правда чуть сипе, але то не в хамі діло, а бистріше всього процесор так настроений.))))) Дякую тобі за такий крутий мастерклас.))))))) ;)

Dimarzio's seem a little hotter, but I think the burstbuckers sound great too!
Did you put an f spaced in the bridge?
No, it’s standard spaced.
Sorry I made a mistake. In the bridge I was using DiMarzio DP223 F spaced.
