Both sets sound great, but I like the DiMarzios a bit more. I owned an LP Studio about thirty years ago and my issue with it was the pickups. I changed them to a series of Duncans which never worked well either. Then I realized my Studio just didn't have as much real tone as the other Studios I'd tried. A good friend has owned a Studio for about a decade and it sounds amazing with its stock pickups.
Another thing to take into account on the Les Paul Studio from the 90's and probably later is that the Les Paul Studio's and alot of Standard's of that era had 300K Volume Pots and 500K tones. Most don't even know, heck I didn't and I've been rockin my studio since the 90's and always wondered why it had a slight muddied softened attack compared to all my others. Try a 500K/500k...I tested the resistance when doing a pickup swap to a Super Distortion last week on my old faithful 90's Studio and as suspected both volume's were 300K pots (tested around 320Kish, tones tested about 500Kish). I just ordered some Dimarzio LONG SHAFT 500k's and I'm gunna swap em out. You video does make me want to swap the 490R with a 36th PAF DP103. Thanks for the great videos!
Thank you for demo on Dimarzio 36th PAF, that neck pickup very Bluesy and Clean and Grit and That what I want put in my Les Paul in neck position and I love PAF Bridge it Rocks Dirty Tones and Bluesy Tones and it has that Grit Tone, I give 10 Stars and you can go wrong with these Humbuckers they sound awesome in Both Les Pauls and that Wine Color Les Paul Studio that Keeper and a Winner to.Thumbs 🆙 Awesome Demo and Awesome Playing and I am probably going to Buy these Dimarzio PAF and Gretchen Menn use them in Her Heritage Cherry Sunburst Les Paul in her tribute Led Zeppelin Band, Zepprella. Добрый день Надежда 👋 Это я купил знаменитую, легендарную гитару Gibson , а Buskers у меня уже 8 лет , это гитара для начинающих но я на ней поменял звукосниматели похожие на Gibson и вот сделал сравнение между двумя гитарами, кто то услышит разницу?? Какая гитара лучше??))) Это видео в основном для гитаристов. После того как я поиграл на сцене на Gibson я понял что она мне не надо. Придётся ее возвращать))) Спасибо Надежда! @@Bradfinger The fretboard feels comfortable, but the frets in some places on the neck are not equal in height and are a little sharp. A luthier sanded the frets on this guitar for me. I paid almost the same price I bought this guitar for.))

Yes, less sustain on the Dimarzio I think.

Only one time I did, but this guitar does not fit the music I play on stage.
