I mean...they didn't do that in season 1 and they actually show Spike's backstory pretty fully and we never see him lose the eye so I guess he doesn't in live action but if they were gonna do that it'd be good if he was told that.
I'd argue a scene where live-action Spike watches a drop of water falling in slow-motion before starting to fight was a hint of this fake eye. There was a zoom-in on his face that looked like he had a lens or something. I could be wrong, but the whole thing felt suspicious to me. I've always took Spike for being even more "powerful" (skilled) than the average person due to his cybernetic eye - which explains to me why he could face-off against people using stimulants (like Asimov on Red-Eye on the first EP of the anime). If they get a Season 2 and ignore this fact, they are missing a huge point.

The cast did a great job playing their characters, live action Cowboy Bebop was entertaining and really good. OBVIOUSLY it was never gonna be as good as the anime.
True. I thought it was pretty decent for a live action. It was not horrible. Also the actors did their absolute best. Just the production quality was a bit messy in some action scenes. I really enjoyed it.
Punch and Judy needed to bring it up several notches. Big Shot needs enthusiasm! Heck... Most of them need to bring it up a notch. But other than that... It's been a pretty fun show.
@Nate Borg your name should be Nate Boring.
Even in this interview he dressed like spike natural
Not them not knowing that Spike has a fake eye😐
There actors not a big deal
@@mizushogun I know right.
They ain't anime fans they just paid to do a job.
Hearing that John Cho’s best friend is (possibly?) Kal Penn, makes me insanely happy 🪴💚

Got a strong feeling that another Harold and Kumar movie might be in the works, possibly 🤷🏾♂️
@@jalenellis3594 I hope so. Theres more potheads now then ever, it would be HUGE.
@@jalenellis3594 that would be so sick

Thank you John, for asking the burning questions about language. My spirit animal!
John has some luscious locks man..
He does. So handsome all around, quite honestly.

He’s gorgeous!!!
Thats true
Thats the one thing i couldnt agree with when i saw people complaining about his appearence hahahah the guy looks so good
Thats ga
Even cosplayers does a better job lmao.
Normally they do

I laughed so hard at that.
Imagine starring as a main hero in a TV show and you don't know that he has a fake eye.... o_O
They were so confident that it hurts 🥺
These two seem like they have great chemistry. They seem like they would be awesome to hang out with.
This aged well. Lmao.
Wow. Well. Its clear that she absolutely doesn't understand Faye Valentine's character.
She’s woke that’s all you need to be a lead character these days.
I’m so happy for John Cho. He’s been so underrated for so long while so many random actors have skyrocketed to superstardom. Loved him since his Harold and Kumar days and absolutely loved his performance in Searching. Only 3 episodes into Cowboy Bepop and he’s just so charismatic and amazing to watch
In the anime though, Faye and Spike has something going that never materialise.
hope they had. I like to see some AMWF (or Hispanic) action 😛
@@tootspogsforever5590 Yeah that’s not creepy at all. Pineda is Asian by the way.
This adaptation was ballssssss. Please don’t release a second season
Aaaand it's cancelled.
Cho, like Reeves, looks about 15 years younger than he actually is.
He's chinese

This aged well lol hopefully it will be a long time before we have to see the obnoxious Daniella Pineda in anything else.. Imagine thinking you have any kind of clout to talk down to the fans, your show gets ratio'd and than canceled and I'm sure she'll whine about it on Twitter lol
Bye Daniela! See you cowgirl, someday, somewhere! (Hahaha)
lmao
For real though, Danielle Pineda reminds me of someone, but I can't remember who.
The cosmonaut?
@@Speakhardly yeaaah that’s it!
Aubrey Plaza?
Certainly NOT Faye Valentine!
Monica Bellucci?
Yes, Spike has a fake eye. In the anime.
Anyone else's stomach churning watching this knowing that these two have never seen the original anime, and hate the fans of it?
I expected questions about Star Trek, but it was interesting anyway.
yah, wtf? that was HUGE!
People on Google : Who's John Cho ?
Google : Inventor of the revolutionary word 'MILF' ❣
Wait, so did that word seriously not exist before American Pie?

When they don't even know that Spike has a fake eye..you already knew the show was going to be bad lol
How you gonna play Spike and not know about his fake eye? The writers clearly have zero understanding of the show, what a shame. John Cho is still the man, he was done dirty with this joke of a screenplay.
They understood the show. They changed everything on purpose to appease the cultural Marxists. This was not an accident.
The biggest Burning question is:
Why does Daniella Pineda look like the Cosmonoght, Is she related of is Fay Valentine actually the Cosmonaught ?
Didn't know anything about till I started watching on netflix. Loved it.
Guys you needa listen. The reason John said Spike doesn’t have a fake eye is because pretty much, all of the questions both of these people were answering, they were answering for the live action, and not the anime
Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not) but isn't Spike Spiegel's eye kind of an important detail of the entire Cowboy Bebop series??
The way Daniella's voice just disintegrated into laughter at the end of "is John Cho alive" was hysterical 🤣

How do they manage to make something fun…into something sooo dull
What a really great and refreshing atmosphere

John Cho probably getting flashbacks to the time during filming of Cowboy Bebop when he tore his ACL lmao
I enjoyed the Netflix Cowboy Bebop, and found many of the changes to be good, or well appreciated. I am an older Anime viewer that loved the original. It was great, but left me wanting Spike to live on. Netflix fixes this for me. Spike lives, and looks like there will be a season two. FYI, seeing the new Gren was cool, and Ed, at the end, really completed the last episode. It just brought me lots of joy. Thanks Netflix.
This has to be th best one of these yet lmfao, could watch an hour of both of them doing this.
God, the music is everything and make anything into good stuff
