I saw Jimi Hendrix in the summer of 1970 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. The ticket price was $7.00. While he was playing his songs with force, his guitar strings were breaking . I remember 3 strings were broken and he kept playing the song like he had all six strings and the song still sounded great!

you would never hear anybody capable of making a Stratocaster SCREAM like Jimi did, years later Eddie Van Halen would come around but with a different type of guitar with much different pickups

💋Jordan, I am early today! Love the change up with the intro, love it! Jimi Hendrix was like Mozart. The comparison is they both heard, felt and played two notes at the same time. They both had a genius talent being able to hear two notes at once and play them. That is just mind blowing to anyone who plays almost any type of instrument. It’s almost impossible for the brain to hear, think and play two notes or a so called half tail note. There is no one that comes close to him so far. There are some fantastic guitarist but not even close to him. I play by ear myself, I have taken many classes and I am also a trained vocalist. But anyway, this was exceptional! I am so happy you are getting to travel more. I am a die hard Kurt Cobain fan. In my pre-teen days I got their CD’s and jammed out lol. I have a copy of his notebook that I got at Barnes and Noble. It’s fascinating, relatable and weird. I feel that way. Safe travels my friend. Love and Light💖Carli

One of the advantages of being older is that these were the artists of my time. I was totally Jimi Hendrix crazy back then (still am.) Unfortunately I never got to see him live, but I have several friends who did, and one of my best friends used to set up for him in San Francisco before he hit it big. Loved this!

Great vlog! Right up my alley. I was lucky enough to hear Jimi at Woodstock. I say hear because I was too far down to road to see him well. I also hung in Greenwich Village. I used to go to the Cafe Wha, where Jimi played. He started playing in with a band there so I probably saw him but didn’t realize who he was or would become. Also a friend on my Facebook page who was in a famous band and knew Jimi and John Lennon. Beautiful monument to Jimi. I had no idea it existed. Thank you, Jordan, for another wonderful vlog. 🎸

The most innovative (what you can do with an electric ⚡️ guitar-especially feedback) most influential (he has standed the test of time + multiple testimonials from famous guitarists) rock guitarist ever! Greatest guitarist? That’s impossible to determine because of the variables: technique, musical knowledge, style, genre, etc...

  • @johnallen2771

I saw him play in the 60s and haven't quit listening yet. I've seen a lot of guitar players in the last 50 years and nobody so far has ever played like him, even the imitators don't sound like him. If you want a real treat sometime turn the lights down low and put Electric Ladyland on. Listen to it with headphones on and lie down on the couch. If you listen very closely you can hear Jimi talking to you through his guitar.

One really great vlog. I learned stuff about Jimi I didn't know. He's one of my favorite guitar players. Gone way too soon. Imagine all the music he could have made had he lived longer. I bet he'd still be around like Clapton and the others. What a beautiful memorial they have for him. A fitting place for him to rest in. Like you said nice to see people come out to visit. Yesterday when I found out you were in Seattle. I was hoping you were going to stop by. Thank you very much for vloging Jimi's resting place. I would have never been able to see it otherwise. What a beautiful, but cold looking day you had to vlog this. You did a wonderful job. I can't wait to see what you have lined up for us tomorrow. Thanks again. Safe travels and Take Care.

Bit of a late comment .Yep,there was something special going on there with Jimi.Such a will and determination, with a load of humbleness .True as you get.A man on a mission to awaken the walking dead of his time and to this day.And to bring young and old together which he often spoke about,,unlike some of the so called hippies of his time.Such a wiseness at a young age,and he didn’t even get to morph into his next era.I’m 60 and will forever toll his bell…..Anyway ,beautiful job.you did.Especially glad you brought up the bit about him not being the drug addled fool some people think.Makes me so 😡. Lol.But true.Again thanks mate ,you obviously like him .You knew ya stuff☮️👍🍻😁🇦🇺

There are two periods in music history: Before Hendrix (BH), and Hendrix Era (HE). The latter period we are still living in, as Jimi's influence still touches so many lives. The year Jimi commenced his recording career in London, 1966, is *Year One* in music, as far as I'm concerned.
