@Rick O'Shay its like a Cast Away but he Is trap into an airport.
@Rick O'Shay his character lose their nationality at the time he arrives to new York's airport. Because His country suffer a war (for example kosovo's war). The only soil where he can stay Is the airport until he can finish the promise of His father or the war end in his country.

Imagine this: You have to keep your cool while riding in a tin can a few thousand or so miles from home and everything is going to shit all around you. One minor side note- if you don’t -you die..
They definitely had the right stuff, also, they where way more than a few thousand miles away when the explosion happened.
& you don't even need your spacesuit (which you only wore on Earth, along with the goldfishbowl on your head)
What a joke!
The Space suit is to keep them safe while working outside the space craft as there is no oxygen in space and a lot of radiation. Also if they were near the moon its roughly 258.000 Miles from earth so a bit more than a few thousand. The fact is this happened to real people.
These guys were test pilots. It was par for the course for them. Flying lunar missions was statistically safer than flight test at Edwards.
@@theoriginalkickassofficial They were about 151,000 miles at this point.
Bill Paxton: Legendary actor, and may he always rest in peace. He earned it.
He earned it??
NO ONE EARNS THAT!
Whether someone “ rests in peace” ( the only way for that is in Glory with The Lord), is not what they do or how they act in movies, etc… But rather whether they accept with all their minds and hearts, what Jesus already did for us! Jesus earned our only chance to “ rip”.
We surely can’t earn that! God will turn those away who are not clothed in the righteousness of Christ! By accepting Jesus and coming in humility to the Cross, accepting His forgiveness, is the ONLY way God will remember to forget our sins.
Just being a good ol’ boy, goid actor, good samaritan, good citizen, etc. won’t do anything for our eternal souls.
Jesus did the work and paid our price!
He became what we are ( sin) , on the Cross, so that we can become like Him, after the Cross ( resurrected). And born again!

One thing that was an absolutely marvellous piece of storytelling is that the music doesn't start until AFTER Lovell says "Houston, we have a problem."
As a violinist/music enthusiast, I am a firm believer that music is as important a factor in a movie as the acting and effects, and James Horner was an absolute genius when composing this. But what else would you expect from a composer who also has movies like Braveheart and Titanic on his composing resume?
What about the subtle bit of dramatic music when the camera follows the tube to the oxygen tanks right to the explosion? That was before the "Houston we have a problem."
I always wondered if the music was made before during or after the movie was edited together? Like did he write the music to suite the scenes?
Music sort of allows the audience to feel the similar emotions as the characters.
Houston we have a problem... Personally experienced the ME flip flop, now it’s back to how I originally remember it.
thats why i am here
Same here!! It was always “we HAVE a problem” for me until 2015 when it changed to “Houston we’ve GOT a problem” now it’s back to “HAVE”. My mind is blown. Second flip-flop I’ve noticed after Froot > Fruit > Froot Loops!!
@@homersimpson118 incredible isn’t it? I also experienced the Fruit Loops one, I don’t even remember which order or which one it is now lol but I physically saw both in person on cereal boxes at the store. Flip flops are the most unique of all Mandela effect experiences, they sound crazy to those who haven’t been through it but they’re as real as it gets for those who have.
@@rawkingkong I remember the camerawork was different when it flipped. Like it used to be a shot where you see the back of tom hanks head in a more overview shot of the cockpit. A lot of other people remember it changing to that before it flipflopped. Very crazy
@@homersimpson118 i thought i was losing my mind. i specifically remember researching this line when i heard about ME. i decided to watch this exact clip and at the time remember hearing "Houston we've had a problem " as i played the clip over and over atleast 20 times to make sure i got it right. i then made a mental note of it to back a few months later and was absolutely shocked to find it had changed back to the original " houston we have a problem "
people can try explain this with false memories all they want, but i know what i heard. Im very sceptical as it is with alot of things, but until those same people experience this for themselves , they'll always play it off as false memoeries
Just last month it was ‘we’ve had’ and now it’s switched back to the way I always knew it as ‘we have’.
You’re not alone
@@jacksawyer3208 the real audio ALWAYS was WE'VE HAD.. but the movie has flip flopped from we have to we've had and now back to we have. WOW

Apollo 13 has to be one of most successful disasters, an amazing display of teamwork, bravery, being cool under pressure, and solving of numerous problems in short period of time. Also was one of rare times world was united. Even the Russians offered any assistance if they could help.
The Astronauts almost might have had to land in the Indian Ocean or the Soviet Union and the USSR would have been picked (no way to get recovery assets to southern india). It was a good moment for international relations.
We also got kind of really lucky, the accident taught us a lot about how to improve space safety in the future, and unlike Apollo 1, no lives were lost for this lesson.
It was called the "successful failure" space mission

That why he IS MISSION COMMAND. 👍🤓👍
"It's reading a quadruple failure....that, that can't happen!" Oh but it did.
The yawn during the start of this scene adds to the moment. Everything was going so well, so routine, then BAM!!
this is the world of engineering,
Feels so real..
they film it in real zero-g, using aircraft that simulate zero-g. It is as though they really in space.
According to some, this is the most historically accurate movie.
The director met with Jim Lovell and a few other members of NASA from back then to get their insights :)
Interestingly enough, the actual event would have sounded far less realistic; in the actual recorded interactions between the astronauts and Houston, no one sounded in any way panicked or alarmed!
ya I feel so old looking at when this movie came out lmao!!!
RIP and long live Bill Paxton (May 17, 1955 - February 25, 2017), aged 61
You will always be remembered as a legend.
Watching this on April 13th 2020. Exactly 50 years after this happened!
I absolutely love this movie, Ron Howard did a great job capturing the suspense in this movie especially this scene and that moment when everyone goes silent in the room, they slowly begin to realise how serious hank's crew's predicament is, masterful work by Ron Howard and by the actors!
At 1:16, that look from the boss says it all and the translation to the astronauts at 1:18 is priceless. That's why they get paid the big bucks to stay cool.
remember when it changed to we've had a problem?
rest in peace Bill Paxton you were an amazing actor
The actual transmission said “Houston, we’ve HAD a problem”. But Tom Hanks delivered the line perfectly!
No cause I vividly remember it being “Houston we’ve had a problem” for a moment, and everyone went crazy... 😳
Yeah these flip-flops are getting ridiculous. I remember playing the movie clip and hearing we've had a problem and thinking that's not right. I also saw people commenting well it's only the movie maybe they originally said we have a problem and it's just wrong in the movie. And now the movies back to saying we have a problem.
@@stdorn you're right. The real quote is "Houston we've had a problem." This movie popularized the fake quote
@@camdenritter7652 Yes, but at that time I played the movie clip and it said Houston we've had a problem. Now the movie clip says we have a problem
@@camdenritter7652 please explain to me how a multimillion dollar movie production, with mist likely hundreds of people working on script writting, gets one of the most iconic lines in modern history wrong. Even by one letter. How does that happen?
Could people be confusing it with an earlier scene in the movie? Because in addition to "we have a problem" Jim Lovell does also say "we got a problem", in Marilyn's nightmare.
Im impressed how this channel always manages to ruin the atmosphere with their terrible outro music.
Lmao ruin the atmosphere well done
yes! I’ve been hating that music for years now
Weirdly enough I would miss it if they change it. Like the end of an era.
Rip bill Paxton
I love how Swigert remains so calm while everyone is terrified
So stupid that Fred Haise blamed him when he was only doing what he was told, giving the oxygen tanks a stir, no way of knowing that was going to happen, but cooler heads prevailed and they were cool after awhile.
Much discussion about how this film made him out to be such a rookie, a tail chasing bachelor and a waste of the seat. Contemporaries at NASA say the film was unfair- he was a very competent astronaut.
im a die hard tom hanks fan.. my all-time favorite actor.... This movie is awesome.. I was born in 73 .. i heard about this from my parents........Excellent movie... To me doesn't get all the credit it deserves.. with great actors as well... Ed harris, bill paxton, kevin, and so many others

asif hashimov your one dumb puppy. Doubt your even smart enough to qualify as a lifeform.
asif hashimov sorry I don’t speak the language of dummies. Just because you speak dummies doesn’t mean anybody else does. I might suggest you go back to school since you obviously failed miserably the first dozen attempts. Maybe at some point, you can qualify as a life form, but your unintelligent dribble that’s based on bullshit sputtered by useless idiots doesn’t mean anything. You make a wooden dummy look like Einstein.
I think is kept from classic cuz of it's sentimental moments, but to me it never ruins it, in fact adds to it, i think and god what an intense movie
It always baffled me how they "stirred" the oxygen tanks. After 20 years I've finally understand... Liquid oxygen!
Not even a mechanical stir. The tanks had built-in heating elements, as that was how you got the o2 out. The heating element would cause the liquid to expand into a gas and pressurize the tank. That pressure was then used to deliver the oxygen to the cabin, fuel cells, and main engine, without the need for a pump.
'Stirring the tank' was shorthand for briefly triggering the heating element.
So melodramatic when compared to the real Apollo 13 audio.
drguffey those dudes were test pilots and cool as cucumbers.
pretty much, real flight they kept thier cool. Drama was added for well movie afterall
Actually they were in fact probably pretty scared, but they were focused enough to keep all comnuicated information clear and precise. The melodrama was added in the right place, what was going on off the mic. I do believe they probably didn't bicker as much or at all, or on the flipside bond as much, but i don't doubt there were moments of panic, but for movie purposes they were highly compressed, there was definitely no blame game subtext with Shweiger, they probably knew pretty soon it was a mechnical error not a sabotaging button push
They would have to keep their cool though. There was no time to panic, you need to focus in these situations. They were probably like most people and were terrified to death.
It wouldn’t make for good drama to hear the real life astronauts
The 90s were truly the last great decade for films, back when they still had awesome casting as well. I'd love to see Tom Hanks & Kevin Bacon star together again soon.

You can see by the comments the people that experienced both of these versions and saw it switch. And it isn't simply a difference between the real story and this clip that we are talking about, we are well aware of that issue. What we are talking about is the fact that this clip changed from "houston we have a problem" to "houston we've had a problem" AND back to "Houston we have a problem".
