Going to play round 2 of the tournament. I'll respond to any comments after the round. Thank you all for the support you have given me!
I can confidently say that no matter what you shoot in any tournament your followers here will still support you. We enjoy the videos and appreciate the effort required to make them. Wishing you the best in the tournament and God bless you. "Hit'em straight "
@arnoldlunsford9872 I appreciate you, Arnold!
That's your game man! Not huge distance but driving the ball 220 shouldn't allow you to be 1 under. Yet here you are. Really great short game. It just goes to show how important that is. Great round man.
@@deransadventures Thank you!
Do your thing guy. I know how you feel. We respect your knowledge of the game no matter bro.
@@COACHgtv8192 Thank you so much!
Seen a lot of scratch, close-to-scratch and even some plus handicaps put up 80s and even 90s in tournaments. Nothing to be embarrassed about. It's a different golf experience that cannot be understood by those who don't play tournaments, and the only way to get better is to keep doing it regardless of the score.
You got this. We're all rooting for you but even if it doesn't go how you want it's still a step forward.
@@wadesworld6250 My favorite comment in days! You said it perfectly!
You got this Mr. MSH. if you're not a good golfer than i should never touch a golf club again. Sincerely MMH
LOL. Thank you Alan!
You're so honest with yourself about your game & ability, that's a huge asset. Good luck!
Thank you, Chris!
I don't watch for your scores. I enjoy watching you play and listening to your commentary. Always good fun!
Thank you for watching!
We are all with you-I think you are a great golfer!!!!
Thank you, David!
No matter what you score, you will continue to be my go to golfer to play common sense golf. I appreciate you, now go have fun!!
@@myers357 Thank you!
Your swing is good enough. It’s all about the mental approach.
Thank you!
Your methodical approach to playing is my take away that I am going to try to apply to my game
@@kevinharris3672 Very good!
I have played casually for 20 years. I'm currently getting back into playing and I would love to be at the level you are at. Goals* Really fun to watch
Thank you! You can do it!
Been there. Had success and some just showed up tournaments. Very true about playing more comfort comes with that. I've won shooting 70 in rounds and also upper 70s. Just never know. Thing about tournaments is everyone is feeling the same. Usually. It's playing balls as they lie. Putting out always. That freaks people out. My second city title over age 50 I did not play well at all. But as the course pro said, "you still won didn't you?" You are much more consistent that I am. Best of luck in playing!
Thank you so much!
Good luck we your subscribers are with you no matter what.You have dedicated so much of your time to the chanel which we benefit from.It's totally understandable if you feel not 100% prepared for tournament play.We know you will give it your best .Mike from Scotland.
@user-ms5ve9rj8k Thank you, Mike!
Have fun, coach!
Thank you!
Just found your channel..... lovely fluid swing..... beautiful course.....thank you for your content, Bro!

Hey Mr.SH , I just started watching you and I noticed you seem to never hit from bad lies. The courses I play I get more bad lies than good, which hurts my scores. I 'm just recovering from some health setbacks and I'm in the short hitter range now.
I missed the last few years and one thing I see you use is a lot of hybrids, I'm gonna try and get some of them when I can but other than that any advice? Good luck in the tournament!
Thanks,
Greg from Toledo Ohio
@gregd5062 There are definitely bad lies in some videos. I don't always say it. Thank you!
You could just as easily be called the short game master. Amazing skills around the greens Sir.
@@boogiewoogie108 Thank you!
Golf is a strange game. For me it comes down to hitting my tee shots and keeping them in the fairway or 1st cut of rough. Approach shots in decient shape. On or just off the green and avoid disaster holes. Chipping and outting normally are a strength so i try to remind myself to not over swing and lay up when necessary. Good luck with your comps this summer 🌞
@brianmcpeake2509 Thank you, Brian!
Good luck MSH!
Thank you!
You got this My Man!!!!
@@darylhoskins5696 Thank you!
A couple of days ago you did a video where you were talking about working on a draw. If that is still a work in progress, playing for a score could be an adventure. Swing changes and scoring can conflict unless your short game is really sharp.
I'm bad no matter the shot lol
Now im super new to the game, but from what ive seen of your content it looks like you know your swing well and it's repeatable. Your tee and approach shots were solid in this vid.
You mentioned relying heavily on your short game so I'm assuming that will take up most of your practice time. It would be cool to get some footage of your practice sessions.
P.S. the last time i saw my coach he told me that he played the front 9 at our home course. He said he didnt make a single green but still finished at an even par. Getting up and down is an important skill in more advanced golf. I believe in your ability to lock in and make the short game look easy 💪🏾
Will do video of practice sessions. Thank you!
You are money with that putter. Been watching for a while and I can count on 2 fingers the number of 3 putts. Best of luck.
Thank you!
Youvare a very good golfer

@@guybrown1865 Thank you for watching!
I always had the game with long practice and understanding that if you where shorter than a big hitter that you could be dangerous and that is true. If your drive is shorter you have the first hit at the green, long hitters don't like it when your next shot is next to the pin. They don't like it when you have to play to one side or other side of the green because they know you are going to chip it in the hole. They certainly don't like it when you do it relentlessly hole after hole. The mentally have the attitude as you go to the twelve tee two down that you are going to win the game that takes practice and knowledge. I could feel that other players felt they had to up there gaSure i lost a few but i won a few too. So the mental side has to be worked on to. How do you do that well that is another story including practice and it does not matter your age only you will to win and dedication to practice.
Thank you for watching!
Get going! We will still want to know how you got on!
Thank you, Roger!
GO GETEM
Thank you!
OG, go get those trophies!
@FLueNT360 Going to get done!
As a short hitter myself, how do you manage the course in tournaments where the course may play longer?
It's a challenge. I'll come up with a video on it. Definitely, have to manage expectations.
Are they handicap events? I am not a great player but with my handicap and a good day I can have a good standing.
They are not handicapped.
I would love to see a collaboration between you and the Average Golfer. Perhaps a 9-hole round together, with all the good bits on video. You would be perfectly matched.
Maybe someday I'll be big enough for channels like that to collaborate. Thank you!
@@mistahshorthitteryou’re welcome. I love your content: very relatable. Cheers from Down Under.
You have made changes to the clubs in your bag, correct? I know your driver sounds different. Are you confident with hitting all the new clubs?

I wish that you had tried to qualify for our Open. Other TH-cam golfers tried. I believe you could have qualified.

Don't seat embarrassment. It's part of golf.

Seen enough of your videos to know you got some game. I think you would do fine if you follow some of your own tips that have helped me.
Thank you!
Should be easier without talking to us. Concentrate but don't over think it. Take dead aim, and turn your anxiety into adrenalin.
@bradleyrounds9148 Thank you, Bradley!
Can i make a suggestion......have a playing partner.....golf is a social game ..... Your personality will come out more with a bit of social interaction... Great content tho!
@TheNagualWilliam I have about 20 videos like that. There isn't much talking in any of those.
@@mistahshorthitter bro, it wasn't criticism, it was just a suggestion....I love what I saw, it's just I thought a bit of interaction would be nice.... It's your channel, I respect that and I found it very relaxing.....I wish the best!
@TheNagualWilliam I understand. It's just not easy with others' schedules. Believe me I try. I do have some matches coming up and they are normally on Monday's. Should be at least 2-3 in July. There's at least 10 people who have rejected my request to film including one of my best friends. A lot of people don't want to be on camera unless you are paying them.
