zhang ning, lin dan. tai tsu ying wanted to tell her name n that would have been a good answer, she is an inspiration to millions.
Big W Vitidsarn! Les gooo LCW gang
i love to watch viktor axelsen and chen long... because of the control they display... i learnt alot from their style too.. i am almost 6'.. for doubles.. i like the indian pair.. chirag and rankireddy... they are so good.. also yuta...
Hendra-Ahsan inspired the Indian number 1 pair. Nice pick.
I bet also the Chinese no 1 pair. You can see how much respect Liu Yuchen has for them.
To be honest, Setiawan is living the life that probably all badminton players wish they had. Many titles under his belt, and still able to play till almost 40.
Everyone has an era
every era has the daddies.
@@ismakiyah9238 Not every era has daddies. Daddies are who play well despite their ages are approaching 40.
From the era in 1950s, 1960s where there were legendary David Choong-Eddy Choong, Finn Kobero-Hamegaard Hansen, through 1970s, 1980s where Tjun-Tjun-Johan Wahyudi, Christian Hadinata-Ade Chandra, Park Yoo Bong-Kim Moon So, Tian Bing Yi-Li Yong Bo dominated this men's double, to this date, only Hendra-Ahsan who play well in their age approaching 40.
@@lexsoft3969 come on
Feel like everyone just loves and appreciates Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei but seem to forget about a 3rd player who essentially formed the triumvirate of badminton singles and that was Chen Long
Chen long is slightly younger than both ld and lcw which is why most of people pick ld/lcw due to their legend era.
MOMOTA replied just like a main character in an anime 🤣
Gee u r right, he is like shonian manga character.
Kento Momota so sweet. One of the respectful badminton player. But couldn't be deny that only LCW and LD still remain as most legendary ever and nobody can replace them
Kento with a beauty pageant reply.
Like politician
For me : Liem Swie King & Park Jo Bong. They great as single and double player❤❤❤
Daddies & liliyana natsir, the most humble players
Momota is my only favourite player his humbleness and innocency is just unmatchable
i dont know why...but for me my idol in badminton i only admire to him..the one and only..KEVIN SANJAYA SUKAMULJO.. i think he is badminton perfect player even i am from malaysia..but in his era i always n very excited to watch his playgame..full of entertainment not boring..his accurate, speed, clever, defence, full of skill..no one cn be like him..
Horrible role model, rude disrespectful and a clown of the sport

I still love Lim swie king + Taufik Hidayat + Rudy Hartono
1) Daddies 2) LCW 3) LD
In the order in which they have conducted themselves in the court
Hahahhaa I watched the part of Watanabe and TTY too many times. TTY is hilarious.
i think both LD and LCW is commendable as an idol
Bang soo hyunn = perseverance. Squeezed between susanti and zhaoying but managed to
Get to the top gloriously
Bang rose to top when Susi and Tang Jiuhong already passed their peak I think. But yes Bang is a great player for sure
@@sho9214 tang maybe, susi no. See bwf superseries between 95-96, susi was still very much on top.
@@viktorfang1234 she passed her peak already. Her peak is from 1992-1995
In 1996 she lost in many important matches
Respect Momota 🔥
im from philippines, 🇵🇭 and i love badminton, my favorite badminton players is Lee Chong Wei from malaysia🇲🇾 and Anthony Ginting from indonesia 🇮🇩 why? LCW. very respectable, humble. kind, even more looses before he become a Legend, he never quit, Ginting, ive never seen e trashtalk other player, silent but killer, and i like him deception style and very humble. respectable that why i choose of three. ❤ and kento momota from 🇯🇵 kind humble
Lee Chong Wei and Yuta Watanabe. I love their agility and superb defense although they don't have top physical body like ld, Viktor and Chen long. Just pure hard work.
yuta watanabe? you mean the brooklyn nets?
@@user-vq3yx1tr1f2 my boy shoots Hella threes😂
Agreed I think that yuta Watanabe shots are just so perfect his drops..smashes and everything
@@user-vq3yx1tr1f2 there's another Yuta watanabe badminton player also 😂😂
Amazing interviews. We'd love to know more about the players like this
For me Kento Momota ,I really like his style.
Lin Dan is the GOAT of GOATs. I say this as a Malaysian. LCW is great but 2 Olympic Golds beat 2 Silvers, for me.
Lcw 3 silver medal olimpik not 2
Yup 3 silver but for me it's both of them bcs sometimes it's not always about the playstyle or how good they are but sometimes it's about the attitude of the player
Lcw very consintent plyer..
I can see pain in Kento's eyes
Past women players might be disappointed by the answers of those women players.
Past players like Lene Koppen, Zhang Ai Ling, Li Ling Wei, Susi Susanti and Xie Xingfang might say : "Who they think we are ?".
Susi might say : "I am the 1st Olympic champ and won world championship. I won All England 4 times." 🤦♀️
It's not necessary! Sindhu is already 2 times Olympics medalist and 5 Times World Champion medalist ! Won mostly prestigious BWF events like World Tour finals , Asian Championship , etc . Why she will choose other female player then ??
People maybe forget about Taufik Hidayat, King Of Backhand Smash.
newer badminton player need to discover the insanity of past legend as well.
Yea back in the day everybody from my village want to be like him
He was not consistent. He had much more talent left but he stopped playing because of his fight with organisation and lazy issues. He didn't win any medal after 2006. Not 1 medal. Not even super series title. All of them were kids in 2006, so they didn't know him.
@@Optimistic_mind441bro.. he won 2010 french open.. plz do some research before u talk 😂
They were mentioning absolute legends only and somehow my respect truly flew past the sky when some of them idolize legends that aren't from their own country 🙏
Tai Tzu Ying: Nobody
Momota: Everybody 😂
Tai DOES NOT have to answer it this way. Its such a brain dead answer and show her arrogance.
She is arogant player,no body athlete don't have idol.she be a batmintoon player because she watch a match and she interested to play badminton too
@@andisitohang-kh1kpwhy are you so Jealous? It's her choice
Simple Lin Dan is everything in badminton ❣️❣️❣️❣️
Ahsan Hendra Daddies ❤
For me : Liem Swie King, Hendra Setiawan, Lilyana Natsir, TTY
Kento-san is always my idol in badminton. Very down to earth and cute too ❤
Hendra Setiawan! pemain paling cool
a lot of wisdom in Kento Momotas answer
Paduka momota sungguh bijaksana dan rendah hati engkau menjawab. ❤❤
Why noone pick zhang nan eventhough he won four world championships and two Olympic gold in two discipline...?.. Zhang nan is such an underrated player.
Becoz people always focus on mens single.. mixed double not their favorite disciplin
My badminton idol is kidambi srikanth, I don't care about achievements, just looking at his game makes us realize how this game has to be played, extreme sport intelligence and skills (especially 2017 srikanth)
I respect him for playing his own game, not following the mainstream play styles.
@@Andr2w8 he was a special special talent but sadly injury.....
I feel the same way but I think he does have achievements. He was the world no. 1 for a week. Won silver medal at world Championships(the only indian to do so) . Commonwealth Games silver and bronze medalist. And not to forget he probably has the most superseries titles for an Indian mens singles player. (Buy duration he probably had the best prime out of all the men's singles players... Probably lakshya will match him in near future)
@@gaganvarshney3287 i know all that, but he has underachieved as per his potential
@@HELLO_019 Indeed deserves an either of All England or world champ or olympic medal atleast
10 years later.. The Badminton athlete ath that time get the same question and i bet.. Viktor, Momota, Kevin Sanjaya, Yuta, An SeYoung, Ginting, TTY are on the list,, Pin my comment and Let's watch this Video again in years 😂😂
For me it’s Momota himself… I like his style the most, compared to Axelsen, and he earned some hefty stats before the accident when he was World No. 1. It’s kind of sad that he can’t seem to do as well now but I applaud him for continuing amidst the criticism instead of quitting
Momota 2019 is unstoppable😢
Momota san my heart is with you onlyyyy ❤❤❤❤❤😊
LD he has always been and always will be.. The GOAT
LYD and Fu Hai Feng were my favourites for doubles
Lee chong wei and Lin dan legend ❤❤❤

Momota's answer 🤯👏👏
Momota has the best answer and my idol as well

The two legends
Lin Dan
Lee Chong Wei
Momota’s answer was really good
MS : LIN DAN
MD : HENDRA SETIAWAN
XD : YUTA WATANABE
WD : 0
WS : 0
WS : ZHANG NING / KOREAN PLAYER 1996 /SUSANTI
WD : ZHAO YUNLEI / GAO LING
how about Ge Fei / Gu Jun for WD ?
I'm from India and mine is LCW but LD is better honestly.
My badminton idol: Super Dan, Chen Long, Carolina Marin❤
Momota's humbleness 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei.. Both are GOAT
Momota❤
Chen Long
Arisa Higashino & Huang Dongping have the same role models in badminton. she's Liliana Natsir.👍
I remember her last match against Siwei/Yaqiong. It's obvious both of them also have a huge respect towards her
Sapsiree taerattanachai in her interview also said liliana natsir is her role model in badminton
present players rarely have knowledge about past players, it's sad since past players help badminton developed to this level now, with speciality like Liem Swie King' jump smash, Heryanto Arbi's 100 watt smash, Wu Dixi's spin serve etc..
Momota senshu 🙌 Great answer!
