      Nope. You probably haven't watch the prime LD & LCW. Axelsen, shi yu qi, christie or other top 10 players are not even in the same league as those 2 players. Both players were accurate, lightning fast, agile and very precise in controlling the court. Yup, ginting is also no exception

    2:18 - I must learn the "All-out Malay Jump Smash" as a Malaysian

    • @danialfaez1503
      @danialfaez1503 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I think it is practically the opposite of the china jump smash where they focus on forehand, malay jump smash focus on overhead

    • @rb-ex
      @rb-ex หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      the malaysian jump is a jump smash where you first rotate your hips so that your dominant leg is trailing, and jump and rotate your hips back to square with the net so that you land with your dominant leg forward. the china jump as the term is used where i train, in china, is where your hips remain rotated at about 45 degrees to the net and you land with your dominant leg trailing. the term, 'china' jump is also used to describe any jump where your hips remain at a constant angle from the net before and after the jump, but it is usually more clear to call a jump where the dominant leg pushes off the floor and lands in a leading position, 'jump-out smash'. for example, both shi yuqi and victor axelsen do a lot of what i would call china jump, and in addition axelsen does a lot of jump-out smashes, which offer an economy of movement that takes advantage of his height
      the names china and malaysian jump probably have little to do with malaysia or china because all players from everywhere in the world have used both of these for a long time. LCW often used the china jump, but his full rotation jump smash was seen by some as exemplifying his style. lin dan used the malaysian jump very frequently from his earliest badminton days, but his 'china' jump was seen by some as exemplifying his style. if you have any training in the jump smash, you almost certainly know and perform the malaysian jump

    LCW's energy and athleticism is unmatched in the sport, not even by the undisputed king of the court, lin dan. you look at LCW's watt-hour output, the speed, the amount of time he spends in the air, his ferocious attacking style, the way he jumps up, sideways, forwards, even backwards to meet the shuttle at its optimal striking point-- it's like endless fusion energy from the surface of the sun. and that's not to mention his magnificent toolbox of racket skills

    After watching the match th-cam.com/users/live9KSPjbq_1EA?feature=shared&t=6909 I believe this wasn't anger at all, rather frustration from not being challenged. You see top athletes become frustrated from this (and we amateurs are no different). For example, I've seen Akane Yamaguchi showing disappointment in a similar fashion when she wasn't able to play at her best. I believe strong feelings (passion) is what makes these players excellent.
    Regarding rooster tactics, all teams do this, and most isn't fortunate enough to be able to rely on a stamina powerhouse like LCW.

    So much drama added. It's a simple story. Usual badminton thing, usual Sudirman thing.
    2017, Japan lost Momota, lost Tago. Igarashi was 6th but in the grand scheme of thing it's not like he was the absolute worst player they could have sent out. And tire out Lee Chong Wei so that Japan can beat Malaysia? Anyone that knows even a little bit about badminton can see it so clearly that most countries don't care if they lose against Lee Chong Wei in the team tournaments. Lee Chong Wei was so strong it's not worth trying. Against Malaysia in team tournaments, the focus were always on the other matches. Lee Chong Wei knew that. Besides Lee Chong Wei being nigh invincible, Malaysia's line up for the team tournaments weren't comparable to Japan and other countries on that same level.
    There isn't that much dirty play nor disrespect like how most people are spinning the story. Badminton isn't full of dramas like most sports. There's only 1 Carolina Marin. Please respect the athletes and not spread negative narratives about them.
