The leave tip is actually great. Sometimes I’ll finish a sketch, come back a few hours or a couple days later and be like “welp this sucks” and redraw parts of it. Works great

I felt so bad trying to somewhat imitate my fav artists style but learning that a lot of great artists have done the same and it’s part of the process to developing a style of your own is really comforting. Good video thanks for the tips they’re very useful!

Although some of these tips are more like opinions, some of them even being cheats, bias, and a bit sarcastic, y'all gotta admit that she just opens up the obvious truth in the most entertaining way possible for us that no one else is brave enough to say on how to instantly show off your art. Love it.
(No, I'm not saying using references from art styles or real life pictures is cheating or controversial, I actually think the majority of them were helpful, so please don't bite my head off.)

point 2 is legit underrated. if theres a style you admire or want to get on another artists level you gotta observe and imitate, thats how babies learn and it's a really effective way to get closer to your goals than somehow stumbling through the process with no direction on where to go. observation and imitation is a great way to learn imo

not gonna lie, this is exactly how i improved my digital art. I found this popular artist with a style that i loved, and i studied their speedpaints to better understand how they made it look certain ways. and boom, my art significantly improved.
I actually did steal my friends art style but I added my own twist to it so it didn’t look the same. It actually did help me then proceed to make my own art style. So that tip does work

I probably wouldn't have known these a year or two ago but my experience has led me to find tips from different kinds of artists, and it's nice to see someone compile them all up into one straightforward video.
I've applied most of these tips already, besides use the right/custom brushes and liquify because *DIES IN PAINT TOOL SAI*
very helpful video, some tips are extremely useful like the 1st one where you have to change the hue to be more bluish, others are a bit more vague and are basically just hidden rules in art, overall 8/10

A question: what app did u use when u just started digital art? Also if you drew on paper before digital does it help
when you do digital art then that's a whole new thing than drawing ob paper and it also takes much much time and experience
Yes, I personally think drawing on paper is helpful. For example, painting traditionally is important to know because real art materials act completely different from digital ones; you can't hit "undo", so traditional art forces you to build your skill in making confident strokes and color choices. I will always maintain that it's important to learn traditional art before digital art, especially considering that traditional art is becoming a lost skill.
i mean im pretty sure everyone draws on paper first before drawing on digital. zamn wish i was born rich enough to be drawing on an ipad as an infant
anyway i used to use paint tool sai, used it for many years (since 4th grade i think). was afraid to make a change, but honestly im glad i did because clip studio was wayyy better

I started off messing around with 3d models for games, and I used to be afraid to sketch over models, but then I realized it would be great motivation to hone my sculpting, modeling, and texturing skills too. If I artblock, it lets me swap to being hands-on with a different skill for a bit while I study and think about the one I just blocked on. Progress has been exponential, but I still feel like I "cheated" and that I still am not very good. Mostly because I feel like I'm covering up my mediocrity in some areas with my strengths in others. Clever I guess, and I suppose that means I could spend a long time sharpening my skills in all these mediums I'm mashing together, but that just makes me feel even more like I haven't "earned" it yet.
