    I received a question about getting the "DVDs." This is a web and mobile-based program accessed through the Internet. There are no DVDs to lose or break and the student's account can be accessed from anywhere at anytime. Please go to gemiini.org to register your student. Thanks!

    Loved this video. My son is 4yrs old and diagnosed with apraxia. He only has about 7-8 words he uses but not all the time. We have a AAC device that we just got and it basically speaks for him. He goes to speech therapy outside school also. Was wondering if this would work for helping him speak more? Would love to try this and see if it works.

    How much and when can I start my son is 6 and the school district wants to heard all the autistic children into a terrible school district I want to do anything possible to prevent this! The school district is the lowest rating in the county! Willing to try anything to help make him succeed in his educational future

    My 6 yr old daughter is very verbal but struggles more with syntax and word finding. She has great word association skills but says things like "white pepper" when she means "salt" or " you fall me down" if she means " you made me fall" or "you crashed something" for " you dropped something" or " my doll's a posey girl" when she means "model." I'm so tired of fighting the district's to give her appropriate services and am constantly looking for something I can better help her with at home. Does this program offer help for verbal kids like my daughter who need help with structure and conversation?

      Your daughter has a very unique sense of language!! I think this is interesting and that you shouldn't be trying to fix this, as an autistic person I did the same thing when I was her age and my parents thought it was cute and made me unique, that it was a part of me that made them love me more as their child. Please appreciate your child more 💕

    Is there any information about Gemiini's success with non-verbal adults. I have a non-verbal 34 year old brother and am very intrigued.

      Hello Brock,
      We rarely have the opportunity to use Gemiini with people older than 19, but it has been successful when we have. Progress is very gradual, however, with older people. We work on getting consonants first, and then shape them into words, etc.

    I'm an autistic young adult, about the same age as your twins, and I struggled a lot in school due to bullying and a lack of proper support. My environment wasn't the best in the first half of my life, and I've been doing better this year in particular but I still need some help. I'm very verbal but I struggle with socializing and I struggle with my emotions and many other things. Could this benefit me?

      Hello, Gemiini is currently just for language, reading, and articulation, but we will be adding more social skills in the future. So, unfortunately, it isn't the best resource for your now. I do have some suggestions, however! The best way to over social anxiety is just to practice as much as possible. Safe opportunities to practice can be hard to find, but you will find English language learners very friendly and eager to engage with a native speaker. If you seek out Meetup groups for Foreign students or English learners, you may find a resource there. Also, volunteering at charity thrift stores, or with the elderly will also give you more opportunities for practice.

    Is there any information aboout outcomes with children diagnosed with Apraxia of Speech/Developmental Verbal Dyspraxia?

    • @GemiiniSystems
      @GemiiniSystems  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Lara,
      There have been several studies conducted with Gemiini and apraxia. The results are extremely encouraging. So much so, that the therapists who has been using it with all or her patients the longest told me that it has worked with every single person in her practice to some extant. It just takes longer with older people and progress is more gradual.

    Hello I have an 11yo daughter with down syndrome. She is verbal but is significantly delayed. Is there any kind of evaluation to determine where to start her on this program? I know it is recommended to give it 6 months but can a one month trial be purchased?

      Jonnetta,
      Gemiini could be very beneficial. It has been working for people of all ages, but progress is more gradual.
