Searched for more than an hour looking for a solution to my 2011 Ford Expedition stuck second row seat. Both floor latches were closed, but one was closed above the floor clamp, making the seat inoperable. I had tried taking the plastic covers off the locking mechanisms to get to the problem but, because of the position of the seat, couldn't completely get to the levers and springs. Then I found your video and watched the entire thing, frankly unsure you would have found an answer that I hadn't tried. Sure enough, you efforts led you to a simple solution I should have tried much earlier...lubrication. BRILLIANT! A little WD-40 on both sides of the locking mechanisms and the seat works perfectly! You have the only video I've found that tells you how to remove the seat handle on a newer model Flex. The older models use a screw to hold the handle on and your video showed me what I was looking for...the retaining clip. Thank you! It was a big help. Also, I am impressed with your determination to investigate this issue and fix it. I know men and women who would have given up at the get-go and it's refreshing to see that you went for it and resolved your issue.
It the seat is locked in down position instead of upright position, can open the side cover to fix this issue? my 2nd row seat of explorer is also locked in down postion.
