Man.. I was really impressed when I heard it turn on.. especially for a mini.. they almost always sound like a vacuum.. this sounds like a trail 70. I love basic mini bikes like this. Super underrated especially in the USA.
My favorite cleaner is generic alcohol-based "moisturizing hand sanitizer". So much was produced during the "plague that shall not be named" that many people have it lying around, and you can often find people giving the stuff away. The kind I use is gel hand sanitizer, which causes it to stick to the grease and dirt, breaking it down so i can wipe it off. The stuff works great and is meant to use on your hands so it's healthier than most parts cleaners
When I built my 2 stroke gas bike I kept taking it down the the city radar sign to test if any of my carb tuning made an improvement. I'm up for some drag racing, but I feel like perhaps one of your next projects should be building a more solid vise stand lol just kidding' You keep putting out great content and I like seeing your channel grow. Hopefully you're reaching the point were you start to gain momentum. Low-Buck Garage kept chugging away with a seriously under watched channel till he reached a point and started growing by leaps and bounds. I hope it happens soon for you
Another reason this isn’t a popular engine swap is that this is the residential Honda engine meaning lower quality then a gx motor or even a predator. The gc has an aluminum sleeve and the gx and predator have a cast iron sleeve. I think, with how available these gcs are, they are still a great swap. A mini bike doesn’t get used constantly anyways. Great vid!
There are lots of low cost replacement parts for the GC190 and 160. Some of the parts are interchangeable with the GCV190 and 160 rotary engines. You have to be careful though cause some of these engines have shafts that are to small for a clutch.
The reason is they aren’t that popular is because these engine use a plastic cam and a skinny timing belt and if it snaps you have to split the block wide open to replace it I have worked on 100s of these Honda gcv engines they do make nice mini bike engines I did a few swaps like this as long as your not trying to make crazy power they hold up and make good cruiser style engines
i really want to get a mini gas-powered bike, but my dad says its dangerous. I am 12, I have a normal bike, they are both kind of the same thing. Any Advice?
My best advice is to listen to your dad. If you don’t end up getting a mini bike now, there is still plenty of time. I'm loving them as much at 42 as I did at 12!
@@Kaydendoodayou could see if he would let you buy a go kart kit online. ,durable, cheap, reliable, and you can add any engine you want too it. I built one 5 years ago, put a preadator 212 on it, and that thing goes 25mph stock. If I had enough money, I would purchase some upgrades. Belt drive instead of chain drive, better intake, etc. one thing to beware of is the low oil switch in the engine. If you slam on the brakes, it will shut off. So just be careful (ps you can remove it) cheers bro🤘
Your dad worries about you or knows things about you that we don't. But keep the following in mind. Got my first mini-bike age 12 late 60's. A cat minibike in lime green. 3hp. Dad rode a harley before I was born and had to sell it because he was going to have a son, (me), and needed the money for another car. He wanted to see me enjoy what he gave up. Went on to own countless motorcycles of all kinds through the decades. But the one that I still think about to this day,...the one I loved the most of all,... was the cat mini-bike. It became part of me in a way. A doodle with a 97cc is probably safer than your bicycle. You're low to the ground, and a bicycle could probably beat one in some places. If you fall you don't have far to go. And you won't be riding it in the street!!! Better not or the cops will get you. Ask how I know! I crashed my stingray many times and came home bleeding. Not once with the minibike. Still riding to this day. Both,...motorcycles "and" bicycles, (mountain bikes),. I'll ride two wheel ers till I no longer can. Cheers. 👍
I ride my 79cc Phatmoto bike daily and have never been messed with by the cops. For the most part they just leave you alone unless you are doing something stupid.

I had a mini when I was a kid, late 50s, it was actually called the doodlebug, sold by Montgomery Ward

Yes very nice setup. But that lean backfire would drive me nuts.

I would agree. I bet more mini bike engines die from sitting than overuse. If I wear it out, then I know I got my money's worth
Where did u find or get that mini bike with the suspension on it I never seen one of those before that thing looks awesome man

Must have been a dream
I wouldn’t say the fast orange soap is good for ur skin but I mean it works good definitely better then brake cleaner
What I meant to say was that it was good at getting the grease off my hands, but it came out like a dish soap commercial

So I gotta ask why is the front fender on the badger mounted backwards?
I think it's just the sticker 🤷♂️
