How insane that a country boy protestant like me would come across a man like Fr. Richard in my 40's, after years of being completely disillusioned with the institutionalized church systems, and it all starts clicking for me. It all starts making sense.
I will say this, though.... I was taught by my protestant tradition that there is nothing I can do to merit God's favor. That any righteousness of mine that counts is imputed to me through Jesus. So, I was halfway there before hearing Richard, but he's so right. So many people stuck in these prisons of thought and ego, thinking they're "saved." They don't realize that heaven can start right here and now before the final heaven in another place.

I would think we are not partially in god. If god is all then we are totally in god, a thought in the mind of god, and the problem is that we are not in thinking "through the knowledge of him ... and partakers in the divine nature" 2 Pt. 1:3-4. Long topic and too quickly to explain well here. Peace

I don't think he meant to be partially there. Just a diagram to communicate visually. As they say in Hinduism: "tat tvam asi" - thou art that.

Does anyone know if Richard gave any lecture about the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the charismas from Paul teachings and the Acts of Apostoles? Richard's teaching is good but isn't it that Christianity begins at the Pentecost?! And that event is the bigest step in the history of spirituality for Christians?! As Jesus said "God is the Spirit", which is common with many other religions, but the essence of novelty Jesus gave us is that we will do works as He has doing...and greater...I would like to hear about the integration the whole New Testament's spirituality with so called the Universal Spirituality or Perennial Philosophy.

In his Enneagram teaching he refers to the charismas (1. Cor.):
