i kinda like it this way. The game doesn't portray Cal as being particularly powerful in any way, so he has to come up with some way to give himself an edge, and this lightsaber is it. the very fact that it is a HIDDEN dual lightsaber could mean that the element of surprise is always on his side, if he chose to use it. this is reinforced by the game mechanics, given how poorly all enemies react to the hidden double attack. whipping out the dual attack pretty much always causes a stumble and interrupt, in addition to huge damage.

Only in Disney canon. In legends, the crystal already had a colour and the blade was either down to personal preference, or your limited options based on where you got a crystal from. *cracks knuckles* Both dual wielding and double sabers are part of jar’kai, which is a variant of form 6 ninaan. It makes sense for this to be Cal’s chosen lightsaber form, since it’s a natural extension of form 1, which all Jedi learn before their formal apprenticeships.

Wish they gave me light saber and outfits option similar to the force unleashed Not just a different color pancho
Cruz Slns facts I said the same thing with starkiller u had a variety of different outfits
Yeah, that's probably the thing I dislike the most: the cosmetics for Cal are really underwhelming. Which is why I installed a mod that replaces the base poncho with the Jedi Adventurer robes from TFU1.
6:03 If you didn't sqeek with joy while playing through this moment, you're not a human.
I’ve started using hairspray in my hair to get that cal look
(Minus it being auburn)
the more i think about it, i think cal and the inquisitor should be a playable character in battlefront ii. so there'll be more variations in heroes vs villains
I would not forget that sense ngl the double blade lightsaber from call is awesome im so happy i played it twice
Trooper: I don't want to die here!
Cal: cuts him in half
Everyone gangsta until BD-1 makes us *cri*
Still more moving and inspiring and hopeful than anything in the Disney trilogy.
I love how bd 1 gets scared when cal detaches the blades it's so cute
this one cutscene has more heart to it than all the 7-9 sequels combined
I really want to hear the isolated music from when you first fight troopers after the new saber. So epic
Ilum was confirmed as starkiller base from the force awakens
it was? How come Leia didn't know it was it
@@xLetalis My guess would be because she wasn't a jedi? I don't know all the details, but you can read about it here:
www.google.com/amp/s/screenrant.com/star-wars-confirms-starkiller-base-lightsaber-planet/amp/
xLetalis After you beat the game, travel to Ilum. In the short cutscene, after the Mantis exits hyperspace, you’ll see construction has already begun with the HUGE trench on the planet.
@@xJohnny_Ax gotta check it out
That one reason to hate the new sequels...nothing is sacred anymore
I don't think any other jedi in canon or legends has had a lightsaber capable of splitting into two separate blades, not only that but the crystal that powers is also split. Something tells me that Cal is special. He might not be as powerful as characters like Vader or Starkiller, but I feel that this true strength isn't within the force. It would be nice to see what they could do with do with a potential sequel tomthis.
No jedi has it but ventress did in clone wars movie
5:25, When your mom buys you a blade builders lightsaber
Edit: I just played through fallen order in every difficulty. I’m still waiting for Disney to make a Kal Kestis lightsaber toy.
Master Bra'tac? Fought the Goa'uld AND the Sith. What an ultimate warrior.
Oof... I want this game now for sure 😅 Though, I still have no idea about just how this padawan who was pretty far from the Knight rank can wield THREE different lightsaber combat forms so easily... It was a thing only for the strongest fighters before.
oh well i wouldn't know about it ;]
At this point in the game he had already beat the Ninth Sister. He wasn't THAT far from the Knight rank.

Evillnesst we’ll he was originally trained to use the double bladed lightsaber like his master, I guess single blades he knows from the very basics and maybe just from having to use it while his other half of his double blades was missing. And dual wield idk lol
*cracks knuckles*
Both dual wielding and double sabers are part of jar’kai, which is a variant of form 6 ninaan. It makes sense for this to be Cal’s chosen lightsaber form, since it’s a natural extension of form 1, which all Jedi learn before their formal apprenticeships.
The two lightsabers gave a star wars force unleashed feel to it.
BD-1 looks and sounds like WALL-E so that means he’s adorable
