In my opinion the QB position is more impressive considering what they have to work with imagine how good it would look with a legitimate no 2 wide receiver to take some of the pressure off George Pickins?
Considering there was a large portion of the fanbase under the impression that Russ was no longer athletic enough to play in the NFL, I’d say he definitely exceeded expectations. Mind you, the man has never had the type of injury that would normally cause such rapid decline in an athlete.
I agree that people were crazy to think he was washed, but the statement about injuries isn’t true. Russ has played through a lot if injuries that had career-ruining potential, including in 2016, 2021, and 2022. Strangely, no one ever mentions Russ’s injuries when they discuss 2021 and 2022 because they know it weakens their arguments.
Russ doesn't run to get hit. He always slid early in Seattle, hence his excellent track record with availability. For some reason, in Denver last year, when he tried to avoid the pass rush he would fumble and lose the ball because the defenders would punch it out like they did in the Giants game. That happened lots last year. So you shouldn't want him trying to escape the rush. But designed runs he'll eventually do more cautiously.
The Steelers are right where I thought they'd be. I had them at 6-2 losing to the Jets and Cowboys. They're on pace to be 11-7.... or better as I predicted. HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!
In the pre-season, I had the Steelers at 10-7, with 11-6 being the ceiling. Now, I'm thinking 12-5, with 14-3 being the ceiling. I think, realistically, they will split their games with the Ravens, lose to the Eagles in a last-minute game, and lose to the Chiefs (because the Chiefs always heat up at the end of the season). They can definitely beat Philly, and in the case that they do, they might lose a random one to the Bengals or Browns.
I'm probably a Steelers homer, but I had them 8-0 at this point! And as crazy as it sounds I have them going 9-0 the rest of the way. I don't ever doubt this teams toughness and grit!!!
Not likely, but possible, and that's wild. As concerned as I've been about the offensive line, I can't argue with the wins. They could run the table if some balls and calls go their way. Very excited for the next two and a half seasons.
That’s real! Russ plays better against tougher teams. That has been his pattern his whole career. That’s why his efficiency vs. the Hets age Giants bides so well for the Steelers. If Russ is so locked in against lesser teams, he’s going to blaze those other teams.
JF can barely hang onto the rock when someone hands it to him. How can he be a receiver? Gotta use him in a dish role as a RB/Y-Back on jet-sweeps, etc.
You play harder when you know a guy is gonna feed you. Look at it this way: JF’s game actually detracts from the offense right now. You don’t want your center shooting threes. That’s what the other four players are for, especially if you have a Steph Curry or a Ray Allen, right? JF is running for yards that could go to the RBs or WRs and TEs. How do you think they feel about that? The sane way they’d feel if Steph Curry’s center was popping out to the 3-point line and shooting threes right next to him. Steph is a shooter. Shooters need to be fed the rock. Shooters need to shoot! RBs and WRs are the same way. They prefer a QB who is a QB, not a glorified RB. They like their quarterback’s “quarterbacky.”
Benton has been a dawg, he just is playing too much NT, and trying to keep him fresh but they need a BIG body nose tackle man they simply don’t have one, even if they only play 7-10 snaps
It don’t matter how y’all feel, here’s reality, Russell Wilson is probably the best QB the Steelers will have over the next FEW years. This team won’t have a QB to draft or free agent to sign to some huge deal. Russ prob gives u a discount plus he has a wife who’s loaded so that will help MAYBE. Ur only other awnser is trade up for a QB n do u feel there’s a QB that you’d move up for like? I think u re sign Russ hopefully Justin too if not try to hope a QB falls but even then we wasting a 1st on these guys late in the 2nd idek who that would be
We have the best #1,#2 combo in a league where almost no one plays 18 games w/o getting hurt, so let's start with that. Next up, this blather about a WR #2. If we're truly run 1st, ground and pound, just how do you see there being enough pass plays in a game to feed everybody we already have? George should get AT LEAST 4-5 targets a game, and Jefferson has done enough to deserve 3-4 as well. Calvin is open on nearly every play, so what do ya feed him, another 4 per game? Then we have that Muth character, and he's only been getting what, like 2-3 a game WHEN HE should be getting -4-5 as well. And then there's the best blocking TE in the league, who IS the reason IMO that Najee has been unleashed, just watch the film. Meanwhile, take a survey of DBs league wide & see how many wanna even attempt to tackle a 6'8" 300 lb. Steam roller under a full head of steam. His blocks are essential, but for crying out loud, feed mean man mountain at least another 3-4 targets a game, just look at his avg. And all of that is before we even think about the collection if great hands we have coming out of the backfield along w/Scotty Miller, Hayward, Pruitt, I mean thete simply aren't enough snaps in a game. Maybe spend that dough on a tackle for both sides of the line, and start planning on how to keep the talent ya have. What we have is an awesome TEAM, not the concept of a team like the Jets.
The GMs number one job definitely has to be the offensive line. The injuries among the edge rushers are arguable a bigger concern than the WR corps. I've been arguing against the WR noise since OTAs. Arthur Smith isn't crying over the WRs and he's scheming pass catchers open...having 4 or more pass catching TE available doesn't hurt. Getting CP back now, too. You're spot on regarding all the WR chatter. It's just noise aside from concern if GP gets hurt.
@lnoel-tr5do AND in what world does GP peacefully coexist w/ a Brandon Aiyuk, or whatever the distraction of the week is? I think it was Kupp that said he needs at least 4-5 targets just to warm up, so that's idiotically simple disqualifying math before ya even get to the imbecility of how much he would cost. We already have sooo many receiving problems for the opposition we can't properly use them all. I mean watching the film, Muth whiffs or doesn't sustain on as many blocks as he makes, so ya might as well throw him the ball, and I don't care how many of the talking heads crack on Washington as never being another Groningen, 'cuz the reality is that Mr. Washington is even bigger, AND more athletic! Seriously, can you imagine having to try and game plan for him, Muth, George, and the Calvin or Scott Miller streaking deep? Especially w/ Russ tossing those giant rainbows. Russ is correct, they ain't done nuthin' yet, at least compared to what I believe they're capable of. Best part is that it sounds like they know it.
THE OFFENSIVE LINE IS COMING TOGETHER❤😂❤BUT BE DOMINATE TAKE CONTROL OF THE GAME
In my opinion the QB position is more impressive considering what they have to work with imagine how good it would look with a legitimate no 2 wide receiver to take some of the pressure off George Pickins?
From Empire Co. Love your show guys.

Didnt even realize that I wasnt subscribed this whole time. 😅 That has been corrected. 🙏
I honestly am still at 11-6, same as I was at the beginning of the season. 12-5 wouldn't surprise me. Great episode!!
The Steelers are right where I thought they'd be. I had them at 6-2 losing to the Jets and Cowboys. They're on pace to be 11-7.... or better as I predicted. HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!
They don’t play 18 games. Did you mean 10-7 or 11-6?
11 wins
In the pre-season, I had the Steelers at 10-7, with 11-6 being the ceiling. Now, I'm thinking 12-5, with 14-3 being the ceiling. I truly believe they're saving the Fields packages for the division games. They put it on tape earlier... they can game plan for it.
I see that too. They needed to acclimate and ket JF get some observation to slow down the game a bit more for him.
14-3 or 13-4 depending on if the dbs stay healthy,we make a wr trade and if Russ use his legs during division games if the pass isn't there
I'm probably a Steelers homer, but I had them 8-0 at this point! And as crazy as it sounds I have them going 9-0 the rest of the way. I don't ever doubt this teams toughness and grit!!!

If Russ had been healthy, they would have been 8-0.
Please don’t be ridiculous on this site, the Jets’ webbys are the place for that.
I always seen Justin as back up good one but back up
I like Kyle Allen too. He looked spectacular when he played earlier in the season.
WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET SOME MORE WINS START WITH WASHINGTON🎉🎉
6-2 with offensive lineman hurt. Missing our pro bowl center Zach Frazier the last couple games. I’ll take it!
The Steelers’ QB situation is top 5.
Beginning of the season I expected 9-8, I anticipate they'll end up 11-6.
I'll admit it I was wrong about cam but season isn't over yet.
You can smell what the Russ is cooking!
If the Steelers break the extension rule is for ERob
12-5 but talk about how Russ had beaten KC and Bills nobody really is talking about that aspect
That’s real! Russ plays better against tougher teams. That has been his pattern his whole career. That’s why his efficiency vs. the Hets age Giants bides so well for the Steelers. If Russ is so locked in against lesser teams, he’s going to blaze those other teams.
Use Justin as a recevier

Anyone who thinks JF should be starting is crazy!

Russ is an all-pro.
If the line can hold Russ ball 🏈 can beat any one 😮
