Finally someone said what I’ve been saying all season! Everyone looks at the stats and asks “What’s wrong with Mahomes?” The answer is “Nothing!!” He could have MVP numbers right now if he wanted to. Instead he wants to build a rapport with his weapons, which is much more important for later in the season. Just look at his 1st half stats compared to the 2nd half, the dude is nearly flawless in the 2nd half! He’s also nearly flawless on 3rd downs, and in the redzone, and in situational football as a whole. 15 has the winning formula down to the T!!
Anyone who expected the Chiefs to light up the Bucs doesn't watch Chiefs games. This was easily the best game from Mahomes this season, and it couldn't have come at a better time Edit - (grammar)
@myhoodiskc 😂 Who don't compare to Mike Evans by himself. I feel like the talent would've been more even across the board had the Bucs had him. I'm not over here crying for the Bucs tho, I'm too busy crying for my Patriots 😅
I think the Avenger compliment for D Hop is fitting. 1) He is adding points to the board, 2) catches and yds in the passing/receiving game, 3) he is opening opportunities for Kelce and other pass receiving positions and 4) he is making blocks/opportunities to help the running game He is making plays and doing a lot of support work to help give others opportunities to make plays.
My problem with it is that nobody saw him this way a couple of weeks ago when he was on the Titans, or even while he was on the Chiefs last week, and then suddenly everybody placed it on him after he had a fantastic game. Jefferson or Chase could go to the Panthers and they'd still be Avengers. They're just that good. D Hop was an Avenger in his prime but would be the next step down, in my opinion, now. Which is still really good. He's a potential Avenger when you add him to this particular system but I think you could add a lot of wide receivers to this roster and they would have been potential Avengers. You could make the case that Kareem Hunt is a potential Avenger in this system (He's got 400 and five TDs in five games) but no one would make the case that he's actually one of the best RBs in the league. (Or they shouldn't because he's obviously not.)
@@Jose94000 I would say that the majority of people underestimated his impact. When I looked at his play for the Titans and previous teams I a couple things beyond his prowess as a receiver; 1) he is a good blocker and knows how to move opponents around (this helps the offense as a whole) and 2) he does a really good job of finding weaknesses in the defense and helping teammates exploit it (he did this a lot with Henry in Tennessee). Most people, however, were really just looking at what he can do as a receiver and he wasn't the most dynamic option out there. There were better receivers available, however, the question is whether or not they could be as much of a multifaceted benefit? As for Kareem Hunt, he has just been phenomenal in the Chiefs system. That, like you pointed out, is the key; he works extremely well in the Chiefs system. He wouldn't be as effective elsewhere.
a hall of famer past his prime is not an Avenger.. Tyreek and Justin Jefferson are Avengers as they are still in their prime. Davante isn't an Avenger any more, but Garret Wilson could be one..
As a Bucs fan, I like the Chefs. The B7cs offense is really good. Especially when Godwin and Evans are healthy. However, our defense is very poor. It's just as likely that the Bucs win against the Chefs had they won the ot coin toss. FYI: Yes, I spelled it Chefs on purpose. I always think of the Snickers commercial when discussing the Chiefs.
Yeah agreed. It's not the same without the element of surprise. We all expected it after every Chiefs game, but now it's just obvious in more ways than one.

Good argument by Nick. I actually think he's right. He could phrase it a little better though because Brou just nonchalantly is like "you have to stop Mahomes either way.........unless you get the coin flip" where coin flip is the crux of the argument. If we accept the Mahomes and the Chiefs 100% will get into field goal range with 27 seconds left, 3 time outs, and starting on the 30, and we know Butker has never missed a game winning field goal, then the odds of victory going for 2 are extremely low even if you go get it. Almost 0. If you take the extra point, which is almost automatic, then you have a 50% chance of winning the toss which is your only way to control your own fate in the game. Yes, you can lose the coin toss, but there is no coin toss is you go for 2. Nick is saying there's a 0% chance of "controlling your destiny" if you go for 2, there's a 50% chance of controlling your destiny if you take the extra point, and you MUST control your own destiny to beat the Chiefs in this situation. It's all slightly exaggerated, but the logic is sound, and the Chiefs' percentages would back it up.
He's not... and I'm not saying he's a bust either.. bt he's gotta step his game up almost close to, if not as good as Rice was for us last year... him catching the ball and not being aware of his foot placement is unacceptable... and that on that trick from Mahomes to Hunt to him, and he was doing Idk whatever that was, juking I guess?.. In The RAIN?... Yeah, he became a liability.. and also, that 2nd time. blatant outta bounds catch.. they just need to keep him running up the middle.. that long shot to Watson should've been assigned to Worthy instead.. Idk WHAT the fk Andy was thinking on that play.. lotta things CAN and will get fixed.. bt doggone it, if they don't get this shxt down right when we face that Denver defense, you can kiss our playoff goodbye
Man made massive plays early in the season, people don’t even give guys time to develop. He’s raw but his ball skills are obviously there. I would not give up on him being a good receiver just yet.
Im convinced so many football "fans" don't actually watch football outside if their team. The amount of people crying over jawan Taylor is absolutely absurd. The best tackles in the league have been doing that exact thing for years. Lane Johnson is widely regarded as the best RT in football and hebliterally does that evsry single snap. People are just sick and tired of Chiefs winning. P.s. Even if they did wrongly call a penalty, let's not act like Mahomes couldn't of got the extra 5 yards. Mahomes marched right down the Buccaneers' D*cks to win that game. GO CHIEFS

Standard rule is play for the tie at home and play for the win on the road. The reason for this is because the home team wins about 70% in overtime/ extra inning games. So if your odds of winning are anywhere close to that (getting a 2 point conversion is better than 30%), and you're on the road, go for the win.
Hopkins is legitimately one of my favorite receivers of all time. To say at this point that he’s as good as Brandon Aiyuk is INSANITY😂. He would be the 6th best player on the 49ers’ healthy offense at best.
Nick talks through his logic as a Chiefs fan here, and frankly I agree. I think most Chiefs fans wanted the Bucs to go for 2. It felt like it was locking in OT because the Chiefs were gonna come out and be a bit conservative.
Xavier has excellent hands. You did not do your homework on him in college. The problem with that pass was simple - he had to wait on the ball. Mahomes should have thrown it 10 yards further down the field.
The point Nick is missing was the fact that Todd Bowles called that timeout too quick! Had he let the clock run down to 20 seconds then called it they could’ve scored and left maholmes probably less than 10 seconds. They panicked and called it way too early.

Every team is gonna give the Chiefs their best shot. Which makes 8-0 even more impressive, because they will not play one easy game this year. They are being hunted.
The Chiefs just know HOW to win. I keep saying it. Defense doesn't quite have its best stuff tonight? No problem, offense takes their game up 5x. Offense isn't playing great? Defense raises to DOMINANT levels. Need a big play on special teams? Book it. It's kinda like a lion playing with it's food-- it's kinda bored, but flexes it's dominance when it needs to. Never ACTUALLY really feels threatened. Knows it's in command. And sinks it's teeth into the neck of its prey literally whenever they feel like it.

Been waiting all day for this 😊
I don’t know why the Bucs would try to take on Mahomes in overtime. The man is 6-0 in regular season overtime 😅
Which is an insane stat 💀
i don't know why people acting like going for it means getting it
Chiefs have best goal line defense in football, but people seem to think it woulda been an automatic 2 pts... literally a better chance that they lose on the spot than take the lead, and Mahomes still woulda had 4 downs and more aggressive plays at his disposal with 30 seconds and timeouts left
Pretty sure a coin flip and a score in OT is better odds than going for 2 there.
The funny thing is he's 8-2 overall, and one of the losses was to the Patriots when he never got the ball.
@@rcdesigns
I guess u missed the part where he said 6-0 in REGULAR SEASON OT. (Patriots game was the AFCCG in 2018. The AFCCG is a POST SEASON GAME in 2018).
As for the Post Season, Mahomes is 15-3.
If your defence can't stop a team from getting into field goal range with 27 seconds left, you don't deserve to win.

@@PaulMcTraish4678Okay, Paul... we got it.. as a Chiefs fan. I know you're lying, tho 😂
This was easily the best game from Mahomes this season, and it couldn't have come at a better time

Oh & we keep benching & elevating LT'S (Kingsley & Morris).
The regular season is the preseason for the Chiefs. It is what it is.
I think the Avenger compliment for D Hop is fitting.
1) He is adding points to the board, 2) catches and yds in the passing/receiving game, 3) he is opening opportunities for Kelce and other pass receiving positions and 4) he is making blocks/opportunities to help the running game
He is making plays and doing a lot of support work to help give others opportunities to make plays.
@CP_BlessedDad Nick can't say he's an avenger cause then he's a hypocrite. He's a hypocrite regardless but it would be a self revelation this time.
He can still make fantastic catches, hes just getting older
a hall of famer past his prime is not an Avenger..

@@erich8082by whom?
Do you not remember the pre Mahomes years? Decades?
I feel like it’s unfair for Brou to already deem Xavier not a good receiver!
He's not... and I'm not saying he's a bust either.. bt he's gotta step his game up almost close to, if not as good as Rice was for us last year... him catching the ball and not being aware of his foot placement is unacceptable... and that on that trick from Mahomes to Hunt to him, and he was doing Idk whatever that was, juking I guess?..
Worthy has the most TD'S of all the WR'S plus Kelce! (3)

GO CHIEFS
Correct. Even with the penalty it goes from 2 and 5 to 2 and 10. Chiefs would have still been in great position to win the game.

Standard rule is play for the tie at home and play for the win on the road. The reason for this is because the home team wins about 70% in overtime/ extra inning games. So if your odds of winning are anywhere close to that (getting a 2 point conversion is better than 30%), and you're on the road, go for the win.
