I made a huge batch of these with only whey. Im so sorry for betraying you Josh. Tbh they weren’t bad. yes they are flatter and dryer than a regular waffle but its still a vanilla protein waffle at the end of the day and will hit if you’re craving a sweet waffle breakfast and dont have all the ingredients. Just add some syrup or frozen berries and its great.
Add some coconut flour to these mixes that only have whey. The coconut has the same effect as the casein. It holds water really well. You don't need to add much of it either. Play around a bit for the optimal amounts. This depends on your protein powder too.
Josh I need to take the time to say thank you, thank you, and thank you one last time for these ELITE macro breakfast options. When I say I have made your protein pancakes on average 4-5 times per week for the last 4 months I don’t think I’m exaggerating. I did a 9 week cut last October and shaved about 17 pounds. People were asking me what I ate assuming it was just boring chicken and brocolli or beef and cauliflower….. no sir. I enjoyed delicious pancakes that helped me shave fat while retaining my muscle mass. I think after seeing this video I’ll finally have to bite the bullet on a waffle iron.
I just made these and they are unbelievably good. This is possibly the best protein waffle recipe that exists. I followed the recipe exactly. Then I made a second batch with only whey. BUT, I did 1/2 whey, 1/2 almond flour (in place of the casein), and it turned out great.
I replaced the protein powders with sand and strawberries with broken glass. Crushing under my teeth, tasteless, painful to eat. Horrible recipe! Am I doing this right? What's the brand of that 1kcal whip, please?
4:45 I've always had an issue knowing when a good crust has formed on my food because every time I check I'm either happy with the result or I just tore the crust. This is a no brainer that I'll absolutely use going forward!
I lack imagination at times so I always like to see your videos because it reminds me of all the good stuff you have. And right now getting something that is very low-fat is important to me, so this is what I'm going to start eating. Too bad for the oatmeal bakes. Lol Glad to see the Elsa cup is still in use. You rock dude! And I promise not to be a cry ass or a dumbass.
You really gotta love being in the kitchen for this one. Looks good, but I can barely stand being in the kitchen for 2 mins, let alone 5000 hours to make this 🤣
try to go for organic oats. theres information that regular processed oats contain chlormequat which can effect fertility for men and women (ie, for men this will effect your T)
Looks great, minus the fact that the strawberry syrup would literally kill me (food allergies, yay! \o/). I substituted regular flour for the oat flour due to lacking a blender and for the pancakes it actually works really well.
Quick question, when you mentioned the dry mix makes about 20 servings is that 20 servings of 4 waffles? Writing this I feel like I’ve answered my own question but I am in too deep so I may as well ask.
the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting it to change. Did you think that this time your whey was going to magically taste different when cooked?
I substituted by weight ratio the casein for regular flour because it’s not available in my area either. They came out actually good although definitely different macros. Having to order food online is stupid especially when having a family and just get everything at the store, and two different types of protein powder will cost crazy money.
Aside from the obvious possible effect of the batter tasting too salty, are there any negative effects on the texture from adding a bit more than the 1 gram as written in the recipe?
It helps with texture to have a balance in my experience. All casein gets thick really fast. You could probably do all casein but you will need to add more liquid and it could throw off the consistency
I can only find calcium caseinate in my country, can someone tell me if it works as well as micellar casein? Help a gal not shoot herself in the foot here please
Anyone try making these with pea protein? I'm sure they'll turn out less good and probably dry and flavorless, but I can't eat dairy so I'm used to eating dry flavorless vegan garbage so I might not mind :)
Josh what’s the address. Someone’s this man a few Ktichen set up. He’s out here doing the lords work with a waffle maker with no accessories. We can’t have that.
It looked like your hands got a little hot when picking up the waffles/french toast. There are devices out there called tongs and spatulas that work great at removing food from hot pans or appliances. You should look into them. 😊
@12thMandalorian fruits and vegetables are healthy, yet they don't have much protein, this is a protein focused TH-cam channel, and you're bringing up fruits and vegetables, lol.
@@Loki-Grandmasterexactly. thank you. Lol. They can request videos that have cheap ingredients but right now we’re focusing on protein. Not budget. Lol
You got to find something other than casie. Because your body literally cannot digest it and it ends up rotting in your intestines. Isolate should work or xanthum gum might even work at well
Hey, do you have a source for this? I'm googling and not immediately finding anything saying it's indigestible, but I'm still looking. I've never heard this!
I'm so happy to be a part of this casein crusade for a few years now.

@lewis7870 In some places casein protein powder can be hard to find and/or be expensive. Coconut flour can be bought almost anywhere.
@@pascalsmit3509Might have to try that. Dairy doesn't sit well with me.
He told you not to you betrayed him you dumb
Bro imma do it too I ain't tryna have two protein products

Thanks. I was looking for a temp substitute for casein powder.
So did you have 3 parts whey 1 part almond flour or 2 parts whey 2 parts almond flour?
I replaced the protein powders with sand and strawberries with broken glass. Crushing under my teeth, tasteless, painful to eat. Horrible recipe!

It’s reddiwhip
I substituted the protein powder with cocaine and the strawberries with tequila and it turned out great

Are you a dummmm?

Thanks for keeping me on my fitness journey
I cutted out the casein and used the dust that I found under my sofa instead. Can not recommend.
LOL
Dude I’m about to try this Saturday! Been doing your mix for pancakes and those apple fritters
Mix the cinnamon and egg white first to get the cinnamon evenly mixed in, then add the milk and vanilla

We missed you last week. Much love.
Just discovered your page and love it you give very good detail and are right to the point keep it up
I made this with only whey...nothing else.... It's a bit grainy but quite delicious
I hope you do more snack city stuff soon!!
One suggestion: Lahmacun
It is easy to make and goes well in the freezer! 🥶 You can also make mini versions of it.
The Frozen tupperware bowl making its redebut caught me off guard.

That "bye" at the end was so forceful lol
If you use Allulose in the strawberries it's going to reduce the amount of sucralose you absorb from the strawberries.
I'm getting biriatric surgery soon and looking for high protein meals. LOVE yoir content!❤ Thank you so much for putting ur recipes out there. 😁😁😁
Try this BFast and see how you feel: handful berries (strawberry, blueberry, etc), two boiled (not fry) eggs...

"Are you a dumb, you're a dumb?!", got me. Great video and thank you for the dry mix recipe.
Looks great. Gonna try it for sure.
I never buy casein protein powder and it keeps me from making all of the baked treat recipes.. I hate myself anytime one of these comes out.
Looks great, minus the fact that the strawberry syrup would literally kill me (food allergies, yay! \o/). I substituted regular flour for the oat flour due to lacking a blender and for the pancakes it actually works really well.
How would you substitute the tapioca flour and at what ratio? It's not commonly available in Europe
Nectar Agave is good incase you want to watch your sugar levels!
Love the Frozen bowl!
Have you ever tried all casein powder instead of 50/50 mix? How does that turn out?
I didn't catch it in the video but what is the whey/casein blend that was recommended? Looking forward to trying out this recipe!
I’ve never actually bought a blend. I have always just mixed them myself
But how did you add up the egg wash in terms of protein? Did you use all that wash on 4 waffles??
Can I use almond flour instead of oat flour?
CAn I use quaker oats? also does rolled oats have less calories than quaker oats ?
Can the batter be used with bread for traditional French toast as well?
Quick question, when you mentioned the dry mix makes about 20 servings is that 20 servings of 4 waffles? Writing this I feel like I’ve answered my own question but I am in too deep so I may as well ask.
Do you have a cookbook available with recipes thnx
100% making these, been craving waffles like crazy on the cut
For milk/caseine intolerants, is there any substitution that can be made?
You have such an interesting fork hold
You may not like it, but that’s what peak fork form looks like. Josh is living in 2050
I have the whey protein but need to get the casein protein powder.
I always make protein pancakes or waffles with only whey and it’s always gross. Every time. I can’t find casein where I live :/
Amazon is a thing

Return of the Frozen Bowl!!! ❤
Aside from the obvious possible effect of the batter tasting too salty, are there any negative effects on the texture from adding a bit more than the 1 gram as written in the recipe?
Probably not
There is a way to replace the caseine? Between the whey protein and the caseine the recipe is too expensive
Can you make these using plant protein instead?
can I just use a scoop of pescience whey + casein or does it need to be half scoop whey half scoop casein
Yes that would be fine
I only have a collagen protein would that work
I dont have a waffle machine could I make them into a pancake instead?
That Elsa tupperware hard
Nice recipe Josh
On the flip side, why do these baked recipes not use only casein protein powder?
It helps with texture to have a balance in my experience. All casein gets thick really fast. You could probably do all casein but you will need to add more liquid and it could throw off the consistency
Does it work with only casin?
I wish someone would create some recipes without protein powder. There are plenty of natural foods that have protein.
Most recipes don't contain protein powder.
Cottage cheese waffles
what if i don't use any whey, and only casein?
You will need more liquid and it could be quite a bit denser
I can only find calcium caseinate in my country, can someone tell me if it works as well as micellar casein? Help a gal not shoot herself in the foot here please
I would not use that
Thank you !!! 🙏🏾
any update on the job openings?
What would you do if you do not have a waffle maker?
Just make them into pancakes.
Can I replace the maple syrup with tears of the innocent??
why wouldn't you just get fresh berries if you just came from the store and not put sugar on them.
There's no whey I'll cook with casein

what are those vac seal bags you use? do you like them?

Ah..the protein obsession.
Sadly this is not cheap to make at all

@@Loki-Grandmaster you’re joking right? Fruit and vegetables are cheap
not really? Buying the entire bag of protein powder is the most expensive thing you won't normally have and you buy in bulk for that reason.
