Wow that’s a lot of beetles! I had the same problem with a young oak tree, I used the stuff that you mix with water and dump around the roots in the spring. Seems to work pretty good👍👍
I used the same trap, only I suspended it about a foot above a 5 gallon bucket half-filled with water (little bit of dish detergent mixed in). I ended up, on a daily basis, catching a couple hundred in the bag, but three times that fell into the bucket and drowned. It worries me that I enjoyed emptying a bucket with about a thousand dead beetles in it so much.
@@AdventuresAtHome1 If you don't mind a bit more advice - keep the trap at least 50 feet from anything you don't want attacked by the beetles. Keep it away from your garden.

I like the 5 gallon pale idea. I’ll try that next year. They ate the heck out of our grapevines.
