Thanks for sharing your towing stats Rusty. I have a Sierra EV with the same battery, and I’ve had a similar experience, towing is great, much more fun than my F150. It pulled my 9,000lb travel trailer camper 208mi on a single charge at 60mph. Weight distribution hitch was used.
Thanks for the video. Im hoping when its time i can get a silverado ev it has a few more xomfortd like heated seats or steering wheel kinda stuff. It gets cold up in canada.
Wife and I are seriously considering making the jump. Would you say it's fair to assume one could travel approximately 3 hours between charging stops w/o getting range anxiety? Using your trailer as a bench mark. Interestingly, I watched another video where they towed 10k up and over a pretty gnarly mountain at freezing. A mix of paved and rough gravel roads. It was an 85 mile loop and the truck was capable of making 3 loops. Lastly, I am assuming this is a 4WT?
@@ShaunSee Yes it is a 4WT. Yes I think you can assume 3 hours of range. That depends on your trailer, speed, terrain, and weather conditions. If make the jump, I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.
I feel like the silverado EV is t best out of all the electric EVs for axtual truck stuff has the largest range by a lot even when towing and has the best charging speeds as well with its 800v battery architecture the lightning,R1T and Cybertruck max have nicer interiors but if i got an Electric truck for doing work it would definitely be the Silverado
Really curious if you happened to have a 1/2 ton before your Silverado EV? If so, do you feel a big stability difference given the weight of the silveradoEV?
Thank you for the details!
I am also looking at this truck.
I like how it shows how much miles you get from regeneration. I havent seen that on any ev ive owned since 2012.
Makes sense given the Silverado EV is very much more meant to be a work truck so you want more info

Thanks for sharing. Can't waiting for a Suburban version with that battery.
You and me both!

@@tysonb1486 The LT should solve that problem. It just doesn’t have the biggest battery.

Cool..
Are you set to one pedal driving?

* listened till the end and heard about the F150. This is the same I feel with a Silverado 1500
@@tom89ontario Big difference in stability. The Silverado EV is a heavy vehicle.
You are missing a third data column. Miles/kWh for an empty truck.
Here is data. Look at the end of the video.

‘I can feel the camper but it’s not pushing me around at all” Doesn’t the Silverado weigh 10000 lbs?
Almost, 8600lbs for the WT trim
@ the wt trim is the fleet trim right? How did this guy get his hands on this?
@Steve-qn8gn If you rent one which is pretty easy to find, it'll be a WT trim. I rented them a couple times from Dallas airport through National.
Great for going nowhere.
