EASILY the sickest boss fight I've EVER seen in a rom hack. Even better than the one that took an hour or two to beat.

Nothing beats that king bobomb fight with the colored floor. This was pretty close though for sure
@@Haanski I mean, this was just plain better designed from every standpoint except maybe visuals. The assembly had lots of quality of life stuff like undoing the sonic health and showing the boss's health bar and all of those attacks were unique, consistently dodgeable, and able to be reacted to in a reasonable manner.

We need more boss fights like this Maybe make that the next contest. Imagine a stream of just pure boss fights, ranked not on sheer difficulty but creativeness and overall enjoyablility.
Simp said before on stream that he's considered the idea of a boss contest before, but decided against it because the tools and programming knowledge you need to make a good boss are way above what you need to make a level, and he wants to keep the hack competitions accessible to newcomers.

I literally LOST MY MIND at this hack when I first saw it on stream. I fucking love this area in Sonic, seeing it in Mario 64s engine was a treat. Super creative, incredibly well designed, and the custom boss was a welcome bonus. I hope this wins the competition, this was nuts. 10/10
It is an amazingly most effort hack in the contest so far.
The only complaint I have is that the red coins weren't replaced with the red rings from Sonic Colors. But other than that, absolute 10/10!
