"theres not much to do here" Man I've been living in Da Nang over a year now and Im NEVER bored. There's always something to do... Hai Van pass is right there... you have secret beaches all around the penisula... Hoi An is 35 minutes away... surfing.. paragliding... table tennis... best sea food in the world... delicious nước mía every damn corner... best burgers in Asia... I can keep going... c'mon now 🥴😂

Will be there in 2 days and have been coming to Danang since 2018. Super friendly people, one of the best beaches in the world, certainly the most affordable, excellent tourist infrastructure at bargain prices, great bars, restaurants, hotels, scenic beauty and you can rent a motorbike and drive to Hoi An in 30 minutes. Some great interviews here and such a beautiful location Chai. Wayne was at this location and that more touristy town a month or so ago and loves both places. No doubt you and Ilona are enjoying it there just as much. Re the interviews plenty of interesting points and variety in conversation there. The Russian guy was very open with his opinion regarding the war and it's justification or otherwise. I'm surprised at that and hopefully it flies under the radar and he stays safe. Well done again mate These types of vlogs are always excellent. 🤩

it's really great -- it's big enough to have all kinds of "comfort" things like cinemas and shopping malls, enough foreigners to have Western food if you are missing it BUT it's small enough to not be so overcrowded and overwhelming like Saigon or dirty like Hanoi. Also there's a lot of history and cool museums and sites to see. And it's cheaper than either of the other big cities. Oh yeah and the beaches are wonderful.
I am preparing to spend December to mid-February there and can't wait. Also looking for changes as the last time I was there was December 2019

Very good Video! Especially there on that beautiful beach boardwalk! I've been to Da Nang many times when traveling in Vietnam, and had a very strange (to me) experience when walking out of the airport the first time. I remember having the "feeling" of relief, of having arrived "home". I passed it off as relief from traveling for a bit. But I've never had that feeling before, even after arriving at my real home after traveling. Do admit I feel very comfortable in Da Nang, going again next month!

Insurance will not cover you for a motorbike crash unless you have a local motorbike license or (perhaps) you have an internatioal motorbike licence. The later would involve you holding a full motorbike license in your home country and the former would involve you passing a local motorbike test. Many people have discovered this the hard way. Insurance companies look for any out. Not having a motorbike license is sure to VOID your insurance claim for a motorbike crash. Read the terms carefully.

:p I think you where looking in the wrong spots. Or, maybe it’s not your cup of tea? What’s your favorite “not boring” place to be?

Yea, it’s not the place for Metallica concerts or club scenes, but it has it’s place for a very large segment of visitors and investors to grow it’s tourist economy. Older, retired, and family vacationers and expats bring in the real money.

I understand why Russians left their country. They do not want to be forced to fight a silly putin war.

@@generalnguyenngocloan1700 So you are justifying the invasion of a dictator? Who was a shady communist agent in the past. Step outside of the FOX News circle jerk, and look at things through an unbiased and logical pair of lens. Russia can't just invade another neighboring nation without consequences. What kind of message is that sending to China, North Korea etc. whom have eyes on Taiwan and South Korea. Republicans are quick and loud to be against one tyrannical government (China) but quiet when it comes to another, Russia. Pick a ground and stand on it.
South Vietnam fell because Congress cut off funding. Americans were complaining about how expensive it was then to supply the ARVN, just as how you are complaining now. VNCH and their dependents still bitter about that. The irony of your profile name and icon.

You should have been there during the 1960's and 1970's. Glad to see this nation has made a recovery.😎🪖✝
