Excellent. My v- tach bpm was 200, but was asymptomatic. Scary though. Spent 9 days in CCU and came out okay. Heart biopsy revealed myocarditis from viral infection a d caused v-tach. Catheterization revealed clean arteries, etc. Amioderone prescribed and working well. Cut out caffeine and low salt diet. If you smoke, quit or at least cut back. Believe me, you will feel 100 percent better.
Interesting. How are you doing nowadays? What symptoms did you experience from the myocarditis: Any typical symptoms and did it develop quickly? What led the cardiologist to do an biopsy? Excuse my many questions, I'm in the middle of investigating my own tachycardia and such. Scary not knowing, and hard to get more tests it seems. Hope you are good!
@@j.87558 .......Doing well. Been 3 years since diagnosis. At that time, I chose to gave an Medtronic AICD installed by electrophysiologist. I needed a triple ablation procedure after trying Amioderone and it not getting it under control. Long story short, had the procedure. Success after some complications and another 10 day stay at Mt. Sinai, NYC. Three years later, doing well. No events, Thank God.
@@taznrubyOh, thank God. Do you mean you now have an internal ICD device, or carry an AED? Sound like you've been through a lot, I'm glad you're doing well! I read that Ameoridone is not suitable long term due to potentially serious side effects, so I wonder how that's managed.
@@j.87558 ......Sorry, did not answer your questions. I felt like I had the flu and made an appt to see my primary. My blood pressure was off the charts and 200 bpm and sent to ER. The biopsy was ordered after some "fishing" of the cardiologist to find underlying reason for v tach. I stayed on Amioderone kin lesser amounts until weaned off finally in a 2 year period. Side effects for me were minimal thankfully but could bot stat in the sun for a long time.
I had a kid walk in to a first aid room at a local camp who was in v-tach, he was running a bpm of 238 and bp of well two paramedics and two met basics couldn't determine it.
