A good and straight forward video about Thailand. Thank you cause this is a video made by true gentleman. Instead, others enjoy uploading idiotic, disrespectful and full of lies content.

I have lived in Chiang Mai for ten years and can attest to the poor conduct and bad manners of visiting foreigners: Americans, Australians, Chinese, etc. We should leave our bad manners and habits at home and respect the host culture-we are guests!

Rather Miller. As an US America but never been able to travel to Asian countries. Americans in general are very rude when visiting other countries for I have to several as a tech rep in the aviation industry. For me France is the worst country I had to be for 6 weeks. The French totally hate Americans. Before covid-19 I was scheduled to visit Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and China. Many boys go to Thailand and Philippines to visit to play with little girls and drink so much and get in fights etc. Most are from the US, Germany, UK, and Australia. Formerly I corresponded with a lady in Chiang mia but covid-19 stopped me from meeting. I hope those jerks never travel out of the home country.

I watch some of the live streams that come out of the bar district in Pattaya and the algorithm brought your channel up and I've watched around five of your posts or so and I've learned more about Thai society than I've learned watching the bar district live streams for years. So I'm really appreciative of your efforts to explain the culture when you post. 🙂🙏✝️

Thank you @Unseen Thailand In Chiang Mai for bringing this issue up. A 5,000 Baht fine may mean nothing to the persons committed this disgraceful offense; and they are probably laughing about it now. Wat Arun is clssified as "First Class Royal Temple and is a Wor-Ra-Ma-Ha-Wi-Han type" built nearly 400 years ago. There are only 6 of these First Class Royal Temples in Thailand, so they all are extremely near and dear to all Thais' hearts and souls. As a Thai we love and welcome all tourists from all walks of life with open arms. I humbly implore all the guests coming to this beautiful contry to respect our cultures.

Hi Bill. I can drive a motorcycle but can not sit on back without quickly getting leg pain or leg cramps. I’ll ride my motorcycle all over BoSang this coming September or October. I plan on going to Sunday night market September 4th and that may be the only time that I’ll ride my bicycle the 20 minutes to the city center, because of parking. BoSang has its own Sunday market. It’s a lot smaller and usually, I’m the only foreigner there.

    Bill, Consequences !
Most Countries do not like Americans for a reason. The ‘Ugly American’. They were very fortunate. I have been to Countries where they would have been killed !
Bill, you are always friendly, courteous, and respectful !
I had a problem one time at a Temple Festival. I was taking pictures of the food at the food vendors. This Thai man started yelling at me. I stayed calm and took him back to the large table with my Wife and her friends. He was concerned that some stupid Farang was going to post tasteless pictures on the internet about the Temple and Thailand. My wife and her friends explained to him that he had nothing to worry about, that I was part of the community. He ended up buying me a beer and profusely apologized for getting upset.
Stay Safe, and Stay Blessed !

It is often unappreciated that the “ugly American “was a compliment.
“The "Ugly American" of the book title refers to the book's hero, plain-looking engineer Homer Atkins, whose "calloused and grease-blackened hands always reminded him that he was an ugly man." Atkins, who lives with the local people, comes to understand their needs, and offers genuinely useful assistance with small-scale projects such as the development of a simple bicycle-powered water pump.”

I travelled around the world for the first time in my thirties, a long time ago, and a buddy gave me a welder's cap covered with stars and stripes so I made him an album of photographs of me, wearing the cap everywhere. Tower Bridge, the Pyramids, Petra, the Gateway to India, Bombay, Bodnath, Kathmandu, the royal palace, Bangkok, Pagan in Burma, the former American embassy in Saigon (which I might have been arrested for), the Limpopo River in Mozambique, and a lot of other places. That’s one of the reasons we are taxed out the butt regardless where we live in the world, because we supposedly have such great embassy support. One of the few countries to do so. I lost my passport, credit cards, money. Everything in Vietnam a few years ago. Got almost no help. They initially accused me of selling my passport on the black market. I was pissed.
