Jamie's eloquence when speaking about parenting her black kids as a white mom is so refreshing. I LOVE how she does not brush over the fact that her kids ARE black and that means something to everyone in America. God bless her and her ministry. I will definitely be listening to her podcast!!

Hi Chrystal, I loved this conversation! I watch you and your family a lot. I love that your family is always sharing the gospel with others! I have been impacted by your family's ministry in such a positive way. I know its been some time since your cousin Wynter has passed, but I just wanted to let you know that she was a beautiful person with a beautiful soul and I'm so sorry your family had to endure such a great loss. My heart felt so heavy when I watched your family grieve together. Please continue to reach out to this fallen world. You TRULY make a difference. I love you and your family, and I pray that God continues to bless you all greatly! (I pray also Jesus delivers your lovely mother Lois from any sickness in her body right now, in Jesus Holy name I pray..Thank you Jesus, Glory is your name)! Amen! ☝💖🙏

I'm so glad that you decided to release this video. I can see why it took you so long being that that the social climate nowadays is very controversial in regards to race. However I think that it was a very important discussion to have and we need to share our experiences so we can learn how to become better followers of Christ.
Just to give a little personal testimony, if you don't mind: I have three black sons. I try to have discussions surrounding race with them since, like Jamie mentioned, they are home-schooled and don't often see other children who look like them. My concern was that they would grow up and not appreciate our own culture and see it as less than others. So one day we went to the park and there was one little black boy named Jordan playing who was black and they all kind of became fast friends for the few minutes that they were playing. Then a young white family came along with a toddler son and baby girl. The little boy was following them around everywhere but they seemed to ignore him. I called them over and asked them if they had introduced themselves to him like I do when any other kid is playing at the park. My 6 year old told me that he had already made friends with Jordan and since the other boy came in afterwards he had to introduce himself to them.
I didn't push it but it made me think that maybe I had done something wrong and taught the opposite lesson then I intended. When I explained what happened to my husband he told me that we have to just let our children figure out these things for themselves through experience and try not to micromanage and overanalyze everything. So I say all that to say that your advice about not knowing the answer and just asking our children what they think and how they feel about a situation is a great way to handle difficult topics like this in parenting.

First, this interview was assume! 2nd: I must be DELIVERED for real because I was Totally waiting for something HUGE to come in the second part. And was, like, uh wine. Folks might trip over wine? Ok... I do understand, the premise. I come from a black Pentecostal/ HOLINESS background. I lived in the South and the North (longer in the North, but the Northern church had the same rules.) However, when I became a born again believer for MYSELF. When I read scripture, studied it and had an actual relationship with the Holy Spirit...wine, alcohol in moderation and wisdom...was NOT an issue. It was Jesus who turned water into wine at the weddng. And from the Text, it WAS THE GOOD STUFF - SHUNDOO (lol).
Beyond that, I am just so glad to have heard this interview. Chrystal, Jamie (and Winter via her legacy) WE ABSOLUTELY NEED Y'ALL in the KINGDOM. I AM INSPIRED!

Yes girl! Background is thing. I totally wanted to be sensitive to that but talk about something that many simply don't. You are right. It's not a huge thing but it is for some. Now that I think about it, the buildup is kind of major lol. But better safe than sorry right?

Do not allow anyone else's convictions be Greater than that of the Holy Spirit within you.(Period -think about it, their conviction greater than what you've heard from the Lord AND been confirmed on the earth via wise and godly counsel.
There Is standard, but a glass of wine or two is Not a glaring violation unless there are specific issues related to alcohol abuse.

I am glad that God has many members in His body and that we are all designed to glorify Him in our circle of life....I appreciate your candidness and also for sharing of Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus doesn't make up the difference, but that He IS the difference in one's life. Jesus does give us freedoms....but not to sin so that grace may abound. The sin is not the wine, but the drunkenness. To also comment about the color of one's skin to me is ignorance....because God is our Creator and He makes all things unique and different. We are all mankind...color should not be a factor...the conversation keeps it alive as a factor...kill it and look at one another as Christ sees His creation...good and righteous in Him..........Please pray for people like Oprah who are lost (not a role model) and pray for her salvation....let the Holy Spirit of God intoxicate you and follow Him in all things....remembering to honor and glorify the King of Kings, Jesus Christ....God bless you as you do His good will.

Hi Crystal, I enjoy the Sister Circle here in South Africa. I also enjoy the cross cultural topics and transparency about that in discussion even the simple issues.
I have a question for you: how do black people raise their white adopted kids? We have heard a lot about the white people with black kids, but can you interview some black folk that adopted white kids, and how they handle the cultural differences?

I think Jammie missed the point of Crystal saying a person who has stayed away from a sinful lifestyle still has a story and Jammie made it as if the people who chose obedience were just as sinful and in need of a Savior which was not the point. We are all in need of a Savior but to say yes you have messed up as much is not true. A person who told a white lie still needs forgiveness but they don’t suffer the same consequences as far as the law and regret is concerned. There is reward in obedience and that’s a story too even though you may not have a testimony of being delivered from adultery or fornication for example and Crystal was saying it’s better to live without the regret and that’s a story too where Jammie just jumped in saying we are all sinners in need of a Savior which was not the point. Of course we all need Jesus but it’s good to stay away from sin as the scripture tells us and if you have avoided sin, not saying you are sinless but if you have observed the scriptures and been obedient, that’s a story and you’re blessed that you haven’t had to be delivered from regret and remorse. The good news is if you have sinned God forgives! Here’s an example Dr. Evans has a legacy of living upright and honorable as a Pastor, has he made mistakes sure. Does that mean because he is human and a man of flesh that he is just as bad as a pastor who cheated on his wife, beat his wife or mishandled the church’s money??? There is the honor of obedience and of course Dr. Evans has a story because he was upright and God honored and rewarded him for it. To dismiss that and say oh he has sinned just as bad as others would be an assumption and an error. We should not categorize sin but some sin carries a heavier earthly weight although sin is sin in God’s eyes. Is one who has hid the word of God in their heart so that they not sin against God still in need of forgiveness, yes! It’s the legacy of obedience that matter not that we are sinners. David may be a man after God’s heart but Joseph did not live with all the consequences David lived with Jammie and that’s what Crystal was saying. Lastly if a Christian man marries an unbeliever in the same boat as Christian man who is obedient and marries a believer? Gif can heal the marriages of both but the one who was obedient and will be rewarded otherwise why are we given the scriptures?

20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
