  • Dalgona is a popular street candy but coffee version, Dalgona coffee has been making its rounds on the internet and it's super easy to make! It uses only three ingredients- water, instant coffee and sugar! Matcha Dalgona is also very easy, it's actually dairy-free! Since I don’t drink coffee I wanted to make a Matcha version. It turned out to be the best Matcha drink I had ever made. The foam/ creme is just heavenly!
    If you are concerned about eating raw egg whites, the hot sugar water should've killed the bacteria in the foam, Alternatively, you can you can use previously frozen egg whites which will be safe to eat :)
    Don’t forget to subscribe! bit.ly/36q10op
    If you have leftover Matcha Dalgona, you can store it in Tupper wear and consume it the next day. It still tastes good but the Dalgona texture won't be as thick :)

    I've tried doing this but instead of nestcafe I used foldgers. I used 1 tbs of the instant and 2 tbs of sugar and 2 tbs of hot water. It worked well with my cup of milk or whatever you use. Taste like Carmel coffee 😋

    Shortcut!!
    1 tbsp Matcha
    1 tbsp Sugar
    2-3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
    Whisk and done!

    Thank you for making this!! I’m not a coffee drinker either, and this matcha recipe looks great! I wonder if it can be made vegan using aguafabba (chickpea water from the can) instead of the egg whites. Also how interesting that instant coffee + sugar makes that fluffy mixture!

    Great Video! I've seen other videos using egg white also, I was a bit worried about using it myself. Your explanation helps. I'm not much of a coffee drinker also so I made a Thai Tea version.

    • @SoyandPepper
      @SoyandPepper  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the hot sugar water should kill the backteria! U can also make it with previously frozen egg whites to be extra sure :)
      Thai version sounds delicious! Did u use egg whites in it?

    • @jasonandangie7730
      @jasonandangie7730 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SoyandPepper No I didn't use any egg whites. I used thai tea in replacement of hot water. I did use a little instant coffee to help thicken it but it didn't taste like coffee at all. It could be that my brand of instant coffee isn't too strong. I've heard people say their dalgona coffee was really bitter but when we made it ours wasn't.

    • @SoyandPepper
      @SoyandPepper  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jasonandangie7730 Haha yes our Dalgona was bitter too! but its better after we mixed it with milk and removed someof the dalgona on top !

    Is it possible to over mix the cream? What happened was, I got my soft peaks. Then added the matcha (dissolved in water like yours). I only added half a tablespoon of matcha and the more I mixed it into the cream it made it more liquid and I lost the peaks. Is it because of the water used to dissolve the matcha? But if so how did yours not lose the thickness with all the water you added

    • @SoyandPepper
      @SoyandPepper  4 ปีที่แล้ว
