If he doesn't want to put his name next to a superhit then they get zero visibility or a chance to network or find work...which is of paramount importance in the film world. I don't think the three people in the discussion would pay a writers monthly bills if he or she sticks to ideologies...Even Hollywood writers with a strong union like the Screen Writer Guild are one of the most exploited people in that industry.. There are some ground realities in the film making process...I would request to discuss a subject matter with a lot more nuance and more knowledge...I believe all three involved in the discussion have very little experience in the film process hence a bit more research would do a lot more good.
