I'm in agreement with this highly. Because Austin Texas is the lowest paid place for EMS Paramedics. I myself is considering to be a EMS Paramedic. I believe the Union & Counsel Members shouldn't have a problem with doing so based off of the contract. This is something that is reasonable. It is important to do this. This needs to happen. They deserve it more than ever. At least $24 - $25 an hour pay. And will for sure see the rate of employees go up. I'm all for it. Because given that the inflation has went up skyrocket. People need money to support their family. While doing something they love. Some of the medics can't see anything else they'd rather do than this. But with the pay rate "Right Now!" Makes them think twice. And we need our medics desperately. Saving lives is a MUST!. So yes please accept the contract. And give the city EMS Paramedics what they need. To continue doing what they love the most. The very job that they put their lives on the line for each and every day.
