Additionally, the gap is wide enough to actually hook a fish (not always the case with circle hooks). I purchased the 8/0, but probably should have got the 9/0 (they seem slightly smaller than other 8/0 hooks). Additionally, having the point in-line helps if you drift fish. I have yet to get a serious snag with one of these hooks.

Easiest for near all applications is Palomar knot and never fails. I only use the one he calls pro for circle hooks
Never used the last knot before but it has become part of my setup. Very good for live baiting as the twisted length above the hook is a very good shock absorber for when the livie gets spooked. Brilliant.
without the twist its the only knot i use for big hooks and for past 2 weeks 22.5kg 14 and 8 kg catfish

How good is this guy. I used just the plain old Uni knot. I did caught a 70lb white tip shark and it did hold pretty good. It’s been proven by me.

I like #3. Most similar to the simple Palomar knot that is never let me down. 20x easier
Always leave a little tag after tying a knot. If you pull the line hard enough there one be anything to grip. Lost many lures making the mistake. Always leave a little excess string.
Knot the end of the string before cutting for last grip
The tag helps keep worms on, too!

Nice demonstration, and it's easy to follow along. The beginner knot is a Uni-knot, and your hold while tying works well. The others are three different methods of tying a Snell knot. Arguably, there's not much difference in difficulty between the three.

I’ve literally used the beginner for the past 12 years, from 8yo to 20yo. Rarely snell unless I use circle hooks but 98% of the time the simple hook is fast, easy to do on a boat, at night, simple, easy, strong you don’t need anything else. From J hooks, weights, jigs, Texas rigs, shakey heads, marabou/buck tail jigs. Hell I even tie my musky swivels like that 😂
No where near as easy as a palomar knot I don't remember how to spell it lol

level4 is what my brother uses and tought me 11 days ago so far - 22.5kg 14kg and 8 kg catfish no problem braided line 0.30 mm

To be honest. I've caught thousands of big ass fish with a simple 8 wrap cinch knot from speckled perch to tuna,sailfish,mahi you name it. No issue. (if it's not too weedy)

Because this isn’t based off strength, just looks. The lower tier knots have better strength hold than the higher ones. Just don’t look as pretty or complicated to make

The Uni Knot is a good knot for pretty much any application.
I'm on level 1 beginner for 20 years and counting

Its just different knots for different applications not the level of an angler. Imo all you need is the palomar and uni knots.

The hook I grew up with never had the circle ring at the end, but widen flat, so 2 and 3 is what I’ve been doing, 4 giving me an idea for drop shot bait fishing.

Setuju, sebenarnya bukan masalah pemula atau pro ini ikatan. Mana yg cepat atau sesuai dengan jenis dan ukuran mata kail. Kalau kail besar dan berlobang besar pula bisa berbagai macam model ikatan, nah Coba deh pake ukuran kail kecil-2..

There's no beginner or pro. It's whether you catch a fish or not. I use a simple clinch knot and I caught more fish than you create a "pro knot".
It's for ocean fishing where abrasion is an issue but fish seeing the line isn't.

Dude doesn’t even realize he’s sending the line through the wrong side of the hook. You always want the main line coming through the back side of the eye. That’s what makes a hook turn in and dig.

I never knew the name, but I used the level 3 one all my life. Really powerful knot, barely ever lost a hook at the knot and even ig I did it was my fault for messig up the hook or using a too thin line. Happens to everyone, but learn this knot and you will not need an other one ever again to tie your hooks.

I choose and love it (even before I learned fishing, I used it to make crochet crafts like cat collars and keychains) because it never fails to give a stable, tight, strong, and tidy setup. ❤ I don't know the name either...
