First impression: God complex judges others for having a god complex. Very cool instrumental, the opening made me think of some sexy ass masquerade music but electronic. The art is beautiful and I love all the geometry and contrast between warm/cold colors at the end. Overall very good first impression really tasty
Oddly enough, this song reminds me of how in the time of the Ancient Romans, some/most of the emperors would claim to trace their lineage to the gods, like how Julius Caesar claimed his ancestor was Aeneas, the son of Venus. Some emperors were also Deified. I really enjoy this song, and i think i'll be replaying it for quite some time!!!!! ^^ (i have a special interest in Ancient rome but i almost never have time to enjoy it so feel free to correct me!)

It reminds me in a way about how he made me feel, especially when I started catching on to the way that the way he treated me wasn't normal: Constant gaslighting, making me feel guilty about something HE did through him shifting the blame. The lyrics "when I hear the hubris that spews from your mouth/that's not something you should be bragging about" reminds me of stuff he'd do, boasting about his art when he realistically shouldn't have, as well as "whining in a fit until their story's been heard", seeing how he'd whine and whine if his art didn't get "enough" attention, even if others put WAY more effort and time into their work, and got the praise they so deserved for it. I dropped him a few months ago, and I'm doing somewhat better now, and a lot of your songs actually helped me out a bit!! ESPECIALLY "Oddments", as it actually portrayed the anger I felt perfectly, and I REALLY love your songs!! Keep up the good work!!!
@@cultspinaTHANK U FOR ASKING BUT LIKE. oh goodness i don’t even know how i’d explain without dumping literally _all_ of the lore. but since you asked that may as well be what i do. this will be long. content warning for like. uh. cults, i think?? stuff along those lines i’m gonna be simplifying it a lot but i have an original species of fellas that have these magic cores inside them. they don’t really have innards so they’re pretty much made entirely out of magic and the cores are what keeps them stable. if the core is removed or damaged, they die. very very bad! interestingly, there’s this really messed up creature that sprouted out of the ground with the intent of destroying and eating the entire world. but it’s too young and weak to do that. it needs smaller food to grow!! how does it grow? by eating the magic cores, of course but it’s embedded in the ground and doesn’t have a body capable of moving. so! here’s where my oc comes in. to be completely honest she isn’t actually _that_ fleshed out as an oc atm so this might lack substance. but she comes in contact with the creature, and hangs around it curiously because she doesn’t fully understand what it is. she leaves soon enough, but it’s already too late for her. the creature has already gotten into her mind, in a sense, and slowly alters the way she thinks. she starts having weird dreams, starts feeling hopeless about life and absolutely terrified about death, and the whole is getting to her pretty badly. she was miserable before this, and she’s even more miserable now. after a while she starts interpreting these dreams as “divine visions”, and comes to the conclusion that she needs to feed the creature she found at all costs, because it’s a beacon of hope that is going to save the entire world, and it chose _her_ specifically to spread this message. none of this is true, of course, but it’s exactly what the intended effect was! now, she can’t exactly perform this task alone. she doesn’t have the skill required to extract the magic cores (and they will need to be taken by force), but she is the “chosen one” with the ability to “communicate” with the creature. so she starts trying to tell people. at first, this doesn’t work whatsoever, everyone thinks she’s gone off the deep end (and honestly, they’re right!). people she was previously close with stop wanting to talk to her and she’s becoming increasingly desperate because if she doesn’t succeed then the entire world is doomed, supposedly. but eventually she figures things out. she has quite a lot of money, the kind you can really help people with. she notices that people are a lot more likely to listen to her when they aren’t doing so well in life, when they don’t have anyone else to help them and they don’t have many choices available. and obviously, she’s a very kind person who wants to help the world, and she has the means to help _these people!_ so, she talks to them with the promise of stability, community, a general sense of safety and belonging, and a lot of them latch onto it, seeing her as a beacon of hope. she quickly gains a much better reputation, and her community grows much quicker!! everyone looks up to her because of her ability to communicate with what is basically god to them! the power gets to her head pretty quickly. her followers treat her with deep respect and she will _not_ accept anything less. she is a messenger of divine forces, after all. everyone is quick to follow her word, and those who don’t will practically get their lives ruined by the rest of the community, because “how _dare_ you disrespect her after everything she’s done for you? you don’t deserve her guidance.” etc etc. and remember! this whole thing is built around essentially _kidnapping people and taking their souls so they can feed it to the world-ending being that grows from the ground._ so, it’s a pretty nasty situation. she formed an entire cult and she gets REALLY MAD when anyone acts out of line about it i uh. hope that gives you an idea. if u have any more questions feel free to ask

@@livley_pankyo AAAAA thank u!!! i’m super bad at describing things and i don’t rlly have her appearance fully worked out atm. i am sorry :[ when i said “taken by force” i meant it to mean that pretty much nobody is gonna willingly give up their core because they will literally die without it, so you have to resort to some pretty messed up stuff to get your hands on one (it is literally murder!!) i haven’t worked out the specifics of the extraction process but i’ve been imagining it as a surgical kinda thing? with a bunch more magic involved. it’s something very precise that requires a good bit of practice, which means within the cult there’s a deeply respected role dedicated to the people who extract the cores. i’m so glad ppl find my lore interesting it makes me so happy

Update 5 hours later: I haven't stopped listening to it. Update a week later: It consumed my life for 3 whole days. In that time it was playing over 76% of the time. I listened to it far more than 600 times. On repeat. I have now been released and it is still a banger, it is now in my playlist for songs that specifically have made my brain go brrrrrrrrrrrr. Over 40 hours have been sacrificed to RIP, I've even fallen asleep to it. My family have been concerned, but it is okay because the song is worth it. 10/10 would listen again.

Update a week later: It consumed my life for 3 whole days. In that time it was playing over 76% of the time. I listened to it far more than 600 times. On repeat. I have now been released and it is still a banger, it is now in my playlist for songs that specifically have made my brain go brrrrrrrrrrrr. Over 40 hours have been sacrificed to RIP, I've even fallen asleep to it. My family have been concerned, but it is okay because the song is worth it. 10/10 would listen again.

I love how you tuned NYL so they tend to subtly slide into a lot of notes instead of hitting each note individually. Lots of flexibility in their vocal range for sure, and I'm surprised how emotion you were able to get out of them.
