    Thanks for this. Brilliant playing.Certainly moves all over the fretboard. As you said he was at his cleverest in creating this amazing bass line. How on earth did you work it out?

      The how was Watching him first, on the Oil On Canvas video for as much of the correct positioning as I could get
      Then I rooted through my bootlegs for the concert with the clearest bass and ran it through audacity to isolate the centre
      Once that’s done I slow some parts down and do it phrase by phrase
      How do you eat an elephant?

      @@robmack6347 the part over “then out of the blue...” onwards was especially elusive, which was crazy because it’s not difficult to play, just unusual and therefore hard to get your head wrapped around
      This is a large factor in his magic. It’s rarely anything you have heard before on another tune, so there are no real shortcuts, you know?
