    Hi,
How long does it take to build the boat once it is ordered?
    Peace

Yes, stop in Fernando de Noronha. I am from brazil and it is a very beautiful place.

We stopped in Fernando de Noronha after crossing from Cape Town and St. Helena, but Fernando de Noronha is not a port of entry - or wasn't at that time - but the day/night we were there was during the 1994 World Cup and Brazil played and beat Cameroon that day, so nobody cared about an extra catamaran anchored in their beautiful bay. Quite a spectacular island.

Nice videos. Question, after sale installations is that done in St. Francis as well or when the boat gets to Cape Town? Thanks

The 526, 620 are built in Saint Francis, and mostly everthing is installed there. The 482 and 442 are made in Cape Town. Here again we do most of it all at the factory. But a consumer could get a base boat and add on what they want after, so long as it is sound.

For some one who wants to live abroad what is the best country to register the boat in ? Taxes , insurance and maritime regulations wise?

This all depends on the passport or passports you carry, where you intend to voyage, and if you intend to remain in a specific place for a long time. There are two issues to consider: Duty or VAT (value added tax) and state and or federal taxation. I am asked this question a lot in our brokerage business and find that it is impossible to answer without knowing a lot about the customer. Further, on a used yacht, the location of the yacht at closing can impact decisions made on how to close to avoid a tax or duty. For the most part, a person can avoid tax and duty on almost any yacht, but it may pose some restrictions on them. Meaning you cannot stay in X country or X state for X amount of time without triggering some duty and or tax obligation. I am not sure if this question relates to a new catamaran or a used one? Please email me with your specifics and I will try to assist you. Best, Phil

I was just wondering. Your hull colours, are they painted, in the gel coat or, as I suspect, vinyl wrapped? If the latter, any danger of them "unwrapping"!?

Vignolete is wrapped due to her many colors. All of our 526 are painted in any color a customer wants. The 482 and 442 are gelcoat and standard is white but we are happy to paint them as well. As for wraps unrapping I suppose it could occur, but they use them in ocean races so I doubt it happens much. The design for Vignolete is a variant on the razzle dazzle and a complex range of colors and shapes so a wrap made a great deal more sense. Best, Phil

The first motorcycle I ever rode and owned was a Harley Davidson 91 Softail Classic. It weighed in at just over 80 pounds. Taught myself to ride on that bike. My first catamaran will be a 74ft or better. Can you do that?

We do build bit cats up to 82 feet on a custom basis, yes! Phil

@@balancecatamarans I did finally watch your videos on the 760. This is a retirement setting for me. Important issues for me are quality, warranty (all inclusive and not individual company warranties). If I buy from Balance then Balance warrants everything. Comfort, energy consumption and carbon print.

    Hi,
great boats. But ... your comment that your customers "do not need to hire a project manager" to me seems to be very very wrong.
To me it is along the lines of saying "you do not need to wear lifejackets". Which naturally is true ... until something goes wrong ....
Happy to discuss this if you wish, my comments are based on real life experience as seen from the customer's perspective ...

Lousy laptop or lousy TH-cam... It should say 850 pounds not 80.
