I've been very successful mining with a very similar setup. I only use one blaster and one seismic launcher on my small hardpoints and cannons and a laser on the three large hardpoints. Because piracy is a thing. I'd suggest at least one point defense turret near the cargo hatch for the same reason. I also link my collector limpets to the same key as my abrasion blaster. Helps kick out replacement limpets while mining. Speaking of which, give your limpets time to work. Once you blast a fragment free, it starts counting down to despawning, so you don't want a bunch of them floating around waiting for limpets to come get them. You also want to be careful not to out-fly your limpets or they die from being too far away from you. Patience is a virtue.
I use a Challenger for core mining, can hold 75 tons (about 5 asteroids worth) including what fits in the refinery. 1 seismic launcher and 1 abrasion blaster and still have enough weapons to fight off any pirates who show up. I have a size 1 prospector limpet controller and size 3 collector limpet controller and use just 3 limpets total per asteroid (I take 16 with me and often have to dump 2-4 of them when I get to the last asteroid as the limpets usually last for more than 1 asteroid). Ship is entirely A rated and engineered, total cost on it is 153M cr. Ship is very maneuverable, all mining equipment is on the centerline and generally mine Monazite and Musgravite and doesn't take long to fill the ship (I take it back to my fleet carrier and when it can fill my cargo Cutter I take it and sell it).

Recommended level of the fissures only apply if your bar is high. I do first seismic high on any fissure, doesn't matter, then second one also high on any fissure except low and then low on low, or sometimes low/med on med, depending on the bar. This way you get the same result with less seismic charges.
Nice technique 👍..im experiencing some other games space mining at the moment and i can say ED mining is the best of all games..maybe Star Citizen can compete with Elite but game has lots issues to be solved..
using my cutter laser mining in a specific system using a map, I can fill my hold up with 650 units in just over an hour or so depending on combat (aka haz rez). At prices of this posting that is 189,892,950 credits. If I take my time being lazy, it takes about an hour and half or so... sometimes the roll of the dice is about an hour. Surely not as fun as core mining, but the freingie in me states "time is money"... lol
Nice! I’d recommend krait just because it’s far nicer to fly, more manageable and has amazing convergence, but if you can put up with those things in the python or clipper, then fair enough
So, 'hot-spots' overlapping is not a thing anymore? _(i feel like years ago, they said the best spots were where 2 hot-spots overlapped)_ 6:40 uh... i feel like some stuff might be missing here?... or is it just easier now?... i thought u had to hold or something to vary the yield or something?.. Also, are u right-clicking to release/initiate and then left-click for detonation? or something like that?....
This video is one of my first ones so lots of bad editing, sorry for that, i heard the overlapping hot spots thing but i didnt experienced it so i cannot clearify but it makes sense..for the seismic launcher, i right click and release when it matches the fissure strenght and after i am in the optimal yield zone i detonate from the console
I dont think you really need two g5 collector limpets, Im using g3 mining limpet and doing fine. Also regarding weapon , to fill ~200t cargo for me enough 1 seismic launcher + 1 blaster. And when you searching commodities on Inara pay special attention when it was updated.
I struggle to actually crack the rock itself, and it's quite a bother; I can find and the spots; but getting the rock to crack another question for me apparently
Start from the high fissures, press and hold until all 3 lines are fulled on the aiming interface for the high, 2 for the average fissures and 1 for the low..im sure you can do it 😉
Thanks for the Video, great job 👍👍 I've only tried laser but will now try using your build and method. Up to now I always seem to attract bloody pirates, but I noticed you didn't get bothered once?
Hey, thanks! 1 would be ok but sometimes i finish my seismic launcher ammo, if that happens i use the second Seismic Launcher..considering the cargo hold of Python, 3.rd Seismic Launcher will never be used %99.99 :)..Thanks!
Do it in a Cobra til you have the the dosh for the Python. You'll be making more frequent trips, but you do this for like 2 days max you will have enough for the Python.
M8 did you read the title of the video? It's a Python build... It doesn't say intro mining building or beginners mining build or new player mining build...

That is "Frameshift Suite - Sixth Movement - Canes Venatici" from the Elite Dangerous soundtrack..its beautiful. o7
Oh man, I still love that detonation sound
Nothing satisfies more than exploding a big rock
Great Video. Thanks. If you hold the trigger down longer before launching the Seismic charge you will get a higher detonation yield.
Just remember to pay attention to the recommended level of each fissure site.

Great video. How do you deal with pirates trying to steal your load?
I just escape full throttle 😆
17:03 that killed me xD
How many credits can you earn per hour with this method roughly?
Around 80-120 M / Hour
I personally prefer the type 9 heavy
Type 9 is a cool ship, i use it a lot
I can't find Osmium.
