This is a pretty nice guide for people who already have hundreds of millions of credits to burn. I'll come back in a few months to refresh myself on it.
It's much faster to smack yourself into every rock than it is to approach and slow down in front of it. You just need a ton of shields and boom you're set. Fast and Fun!
If you want to traverse the rocks as fast as you can, in the BPMC, we call it Litho-breaking, I may say how to do that in another video. It's a rather involved process.
The term is 'lithobraking' and is a technique widely used by iMU (Intergallactic Mining Union) back in the day when LTDs and Painite were the hot minerals to laser-mine.
07 and greetings fellow Buurian. I need to add some mining to my progress on the Inara ladder. Will have a look at this between Rescue missions, exo biology and destroying Thargs. I'm saving up for a carrier LOL. Just gone from 1 to 3 billion in short time (well for the time I spend online anyway) and could use the extra you get from this, currently exo plants is giving me anything from 76 to 100mil an hour.
Mad! I was surprised to see you can only have 3 collector limpets deployed, or am I reading your screen wrong? IIRC my Cutter can deploy 5, but I'm not mining anywhere near as fast as you! Oh and lol @ ramming asteroids to save time! I'll have to remember that one! 😁 Is your ship build from 3yrs ago the one you use here?
That's a very good question, I am mining a long a map made by the BPMC command team. The map is called "Rheeney’s Radical Platinum Pinnacle with Proper Pirates". Check this video's description for this map and more.
No expert myself, but in the case of core mining there are only a handful of asteroid models (the model differs, based on which ring type it is - rocky, ice etc.) that have a chance to contain a core, spend a couple hours mining and you start to see them stick out like sore thumbs. Not sure how it works in laser mining, but assuming it follows the same rules. edit: I've seen OP mention they use a mining map, implying that the asteroids with platinum are pre-determined, you just have to spot them o7
Platinum low demand now, best way to make $$$ is ax rn. Unless you're on console then turn it off and go to work in real life cause ot's the only way you're making gains....
You don't really need a map. I fill up a Python with 198T in about 11.5 minutes on average without a map, and my Cutter is much faster with 7 lasers and 16 collectors. The problem with a map is that you can only make one run, then you have to go somewhere else, which wastes all the time you saved. When I mine random rocks with my Cutter, I can get three or 4 runs in a haz RES, though if I do 4, the last one is not quite so productive as the previous three and the third has to be within 16km of the centre instead of 20km. Why are you not using 7 lasers and 16 collectors, which is the meta?
@@rocket2739 Shooting pirates just wastes time. It's more efficient to give them what they want. In that run, he only had to deal with one small pirate. Normally, they come 5 or 6 at a time, which would take a long time to kill, so he wouldn't get 586T in 30 minutes. The pirates don't ask for much (20T max), and you can mine as much as they take while you're ejecting it, so you don't lose anything other than a small amount of time, which is less than the time it would take to kill the pirates. Therefore,, without weapons, you mine faster because you have more lasers and collectors plus lose less time to deal with the pirates - win, win.
DON'T DO THAT! There are too many pirates and it's time wasting! If you're interested to earn Credits in a easier way, go to Robigo an do passenger missions. THIS IS TIME WAISTING HERE! I jumped serval times in and was scanned by 6 pirates at the same time. After that maybe 3 minutes later, the next 4 scanned me. How you can mine there? Right there is no way. This is ridiculous
Might better mining in a slightly richless ring with WAY less pirate here unless you are fully engineered and went through all guardian stuff. But I'd say usually : more risk = more profits
The video is a bit disingenuous in that there were no serious pirate interactions, which is not the norm.. Often the pirates come several at a time; however, you don't have to fight them nor run away. Just give them what they ask for and they go away happy. Normally, you can mine more than what you give them in the time it takes to eject the cargo, so you don't lose much - just a bit of time. I mine at the same speed as in that video but without a map and without weapons using my 7 laser Cutter.

How does he finds only rocks with platinium and i find only gold silver etc...
Can you steel chunx from other mining ships (before they collect)??😅

Amazing build once again cmdr
Great work!
Are you like straight up ramming rocks with your ship or does it just look like it
How do you know which rocks to mine right away?

o7 nice run :)
Thank you, more to come.
great work
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey comander u can show Your module section ?
what is strategy to find next astereoid? cant understand this? how u know next asteroid filled up to >33,33% ?

Jerry mines everything?
Appreciate it bro I’ve been mining tritium and void opals. Ima stop doing that right now 😂😂😂
This mining maps are still relevant?
The music is good!
Yes, Please support the artists found in the description
mind sharing a link to your Cutter build?
I will in another video dedicated to it, Soon to come!
Show the build for the ship
Question: Why map HAZ RES instead of just hotspots, with less NPC pirates?
BTW, just curious!
It adds a percentage to the mineral content of asteroids. More dangerous RES produce proportionately more fragments.

Check out the BPMC maps linked in the bio, some are in the same location and out of the Haz Res
Either bug or a cheat or a hack. All of the rocks always have 62.22% (which is highly unlikely)
Oh, I get it now. It's some next level Mining. It will take some time from me to grasp the nuances. Thnx.
Unfortunatelyt you do not know what you are talking about I have maps with rocks with 67.77% and yes I am part of the BPMC
