You mentioned you replaced the lower unit oil. Did you see anything metallic come out? I wasn't sure if you were referring to only the engine oil with the metallic comment.
I did see fine metal pieces in the lower unit as well, same as engine oil. Tohatsu said that is normal as long as not chunks, was told I will see that for two or three oil changes and it is normal. I am not concerned, seen this many times before as part of break in on engines or gears.
How your Tach/Hour wire come out under engine plastic cap to the outside? What you did for this: did you drilled hole (if yes where) or put wire simple between plastic cap and metal foundation of the motor), etc? Thanks.
I have a 2021 tohatsu 6hp with less than 10 hours I can’t get the motor to rev over 2700 rpm. I still in break in but I wanted to do the full throttle for a minute then half throttle . But it will no rev any ideas would help
I like the sail pro, but the single cylinder is not quiet at anything above idle. To get 1.5-2mph u will run 1500rpm and that will be noisy. I suppose u could run the STD 6" pitch prop at idle but won't get down to slower speeds.
I like the built in tank, may consider another fuel with T to main tank in future. I like having option for both, but the built in tank runs for 3 hours each time I top it off.
Yes, but I run it as a kicker 90% of time and it does not get warm. When I do run it at 3500 RPM it gets warm inside but does not seem to affect it. 250hours on it with the insulation and running great.
@@omieyouknowme declared yes also my 3.5 should have been 17/18 kg and then instead it was 20.5 kg That's why I was wondering if you weighed it with a scale
@@NinoSpinner I did not wright with scale. This .it is sold, I replaced.with 8hp that is 5kg more. Really in this size of motor the 3-5kg is not.noticed . I.did have a 4hp Yamaha now that was much lighter. The 15hp Yamaha 2 stroke is probably the lightest motor for its weight

The hole where the shift linkage goes in to motor the rubber grommet has plenty of space. Ran a wire thru it.
@@omieyouknowme Thank you. I already figure out my problem during second look.

Rev in neutral or in gear in water?
@@omieyouknowme Have not tried that I just bought another prop now I have 3 for it 7,8,9 pitch. To see if I can get it to rev.

@@chadpipkin840 I use it as a kicker in a 17' river hawk sled boat. It runs at idle 95 percent of time.
I have same engine my engine cranking problem sir
can you furnish the part no for the low speed jets, thanks
It comes as a kit, I have the # listed in video under description
For trolling do you like the sail pro prop? Looking for the quietest option to get around 1.5-2.5mph

Hi loved the videos of this just got one with separate tank can u run it in on the boat or is it better of

Will that not cause more heat retention around the motor?
