this bike costed me ( in the netherlands) 32.000 euro. all the upgrades adds another 10K. i have done one service and that was to expensive at 300-700 depending on what they need to do. But you can do the small stuff yourself suxh as oil. a big money pit is rear tires, this bike eats tires and they are expensive at 200-300 a piec for the rear. i have this bike a little over a year now and it has used 2 tires. you can do around 4000km with a tire. for example on my adventure i still have the first set of tires with more miles on the ODO. if you have more questions let me know.
i did make a video about the 2 bikes and in that video i was fully towards the sfv4s, but recntly im riding this bad boy again and pushing it as you should push this bike, im leaning back to the ktm because of its fun at lower RPMs the ducati cannot be beat on the highway but highway are no fun. why are you claiming 215hp in your thumbnail? there is no way you are running those numbers. i myself have a 1290, same generation, with full akrapovic system, ecu flash and filter, and im nowhere near those numbers. just want to know what you have done to your bike to get those numbers?
This bike is already at almost 200 factory (crank) your numbers are probably on the backwheel, these bikes are EU5 so the gain in HP is large one run on the dyno can give this bike 15hp extra stock, with exhaust en sprint filter you can easily squeeze a extra 10-15 out. Crank HP is always 15% more then on the back wheel because of the transmission loss. I think i can even get more out of it if i bring it to a specialist For example my KTM super adventure gained 20HP extra with just a few runs (same engine)
@ this bike is at 180hp crank, and around maybe 170hp to the wheel from factory. You are claiming 215BHP(brake horse power), which is measured on the back wheel. So you are telling me you have gained 45hp by just doing a run on the dyno and tweaking the air/fuel mixture, and a slip on? I’m sorry but that is just not possible, you need to do alot more to the bike to gain those numbers you are claiming here…i would love to see some genuine dyno runs and charts on this bike

KTM is known for its issues, this bike also head alot problems such as a faulty wire harness. i hope it makes it a couple years after that i will move to the next bike. if you want a reliable bike you go for yamaha mt07, 09, 10. KTM is headache
Its probably different position of the microphone, nothing changed on the bike. The mic sits on the front fork to test what is best and in the other vids it was in my hoody so closer to the exhaust but it was a bit muffled. Still trying to find the perfect middle ground
nope this bike has a silencer box from spark industry, i have checked for straight pipe but it would make this bike unridable in the place i live, it would be so ridicoulesly loud.
@ yeah I was thinking about straight piping mine but I feel like that would cause too many issues. Here in Rotterdam 😂. Ill look into that silencer box
