The way you use melee weave to leveling is by pulling more mobs. BM spec always, pet pull one, open on another. When the one you opened on gets close you melee swing it, and autoshot the one on your pet. The swing timers are independent, you you can do both by targeting one then other other between shots/swings. You will probably end up slightly ahead in terms of killing speed but its marginal for way more effort. The way your melee weaving isn't useful, you aren't gaining much in terms of dps, better off throwing MS for the mana or melee hitting the last hit while you move to the next mob.
A small detail about threat that you left out is that if you're attacking from afar you need 130% of your pet's threat to take aggro, but if you run into melee it's only 110%.
This way is super efficient: 1. Kill mobs normally until low mana 2. Melee weave to regen mana. No casting, including no hunters mark and no raptor strike. Have a little bit of spirit on gear to make regen go faster.
I know I'm 2 yrs late but, what if double melee weaving is the one case where duoing as a hunter makes sense? Say you have a shaman or druid healing you (pala or priest would be good too but they'll run slower), that would offset the inefficiency of having to use consumables. The healer would ofc add damage too. Priest with spirit tap would be stupidly efficient.
The problem is of you do to much dmg you pull aggro. That's why doing more dog isn't always best since if you pull aggro you do less dps. So the best and easiest way is just spec BM have pet spam growl and claw. Serpent sting and just auto and multi shot towards the end if you have high mana.
Yeah but if you spec into survival you get a lot more roots, it opens up gameplay for more advanced hunters, sure you can auto pilot a hunter on BM or even MM in some cases and out dps most classes, but making a Tauren/troll survival hunter with alittle MM is actually really fun if you are gonna juggle multiple mobs at once! Having aggro isn’t bad and in some casss you almost want it.
Well, getting in and out in time isn't going to be much of an issue unless you have really fast weapons. The main issue I had was not being able to keep mobs on my pet when I really needed them to.
In wrath i do melee weawing in wrath, and with the 5 yard range, and spin gump is pretty good. And i do with one draenei, and in early level gift of the naaru and bandages you can be pretty tanky, and with wind clip and freezing trap get rid of 2, 3, maybe for some crazy 4 mob at the same time.
Yeah this is a good idea and something I will talk about in the future. There's no deadzone starting in BC, but you don't get steady shot until very late in the game.
So basically BM is best and all around PVE/PVP where as MM or Survival is for PVP only. Only on My Orc Hunter at 35 could i take on 5 lvl 35 venture company goblins. And get the XP and live along with the pet. The Rogue my main, could not fucking do that, unless lvl 40 + combat spec.

I’m not sure you watched the whole video? He does pretty much exactly what you said at around the 6 minute mark.

Thanks for 2 great videos on the subject :D
What about an Bat/Bird spamming Screech? It generates aggro, and may keep the breakpoint on threat high enough for melee weaving.
I'll definitely try that when I grab a salt flats vulture on my troll hunter.

Remember always that out there somewhere is a hunter melee wheaving.

what about melee weaving with aspect of the cheeta? that might be in an increase in dmg since cover the distance quicker.

Not really into the sweaty gameplay. Autoshot and chill all the way.
I dont know if weaving is good for leveling, but i do know that voice is sexy
