I've been admiring the Carote 8pc and 10 pc set for a while.... If someone could tell me the diameter of the steamer that might help me decided?! Thanks.
I bought the set with removable handles and I love them. U need to use silicone utensils and no dot use anything abrasive to clean them and they will last. They heat evenly making cooking that much faster and I've made pasta sauce and they have come completely clean and I have the cream colored set. I absolutely love my set. You just have to listen to the care instructions or you will ruin them .
My set was delivered 11/26/24 for Christmas. I've only used silicone or wood/bamboo utensils in them. I just pulled a pot from the fridge to dump some old leftovers and when I rinsed it I saw something stuck on the inside. Huh? These are super non-stick! Nope! Nothing stuck...it was surface bubbling on the inside. It peeled like cheap paint and a gray silt washed away with water and a finger tip. CHEAP COATING! CHEAP METAL UNDERNEATH!
i see comments with negative reviews but if owners would read the use and care that come with the pans it clearly says to not use abrasive sponges or pads for cleaning, DO NOT USE METAL UTENSILS AND HANDLE GENTKY ON CERAMIC OR INDUCTION COOKERS because pulling or pushing can scratch the surface
Yeah it would eventually change colour my frying pan stained because I use it often but still works good with the nonstick I love mine so much am careful with the rest because I want them to stay in the white creamy colour so I only use them on special occasions 😅
@@makeupbygloria can i use dishwasher to clean and someone in comments says it doesn't have to touch any metal...can this cookware can't be touched to metal?
Great review! I wonder if it holds up meats marinated in something with sugar and soy sauce? Those are the usual suspects when it comes to sticking to the pans and they're so hard to clean haha I'm Asian and we do have some dishes with those types of marinade 😊 Thanks for your review. I'm going to be buying this soon
Cookware like this are fine. As long as you don’t use metal utensils, put them in the dishwasher or use high heat. Nonstick cookware has a place in the kitchen for cooking delicate foods. Properly take care of them and they’ll last a long time.
I would like to know, Do you have a video how to season this carote pans. I have these newly buy. And how do you keep these long lasting. These are kind of sensitive pans and should be well taken care of. Please let me know.
@@xian4812 I just purchased during a Black Friday sale in November 2024, and it was $100 for a set that normally, supposedly, retails for $300. Mine of course was a larger set, as it is a 14 piece set. Still, in comparison with other brands, this brand seems to have a really good reputation, as far as user reviews, and the price can’t be beat.
Has a downside. Carote has ruined my glass cooktop! I've used three pieces of it on my cooktop. The scratches are horrible! My cooktop will have to be replaced before I can sell my home!
Don’t get me wrong but what would you expect with metal being in the bottom? If you really would have loved to conserve your glass top you shouldn’t be moving the pan at all.
Had them less than a year and i hate them. Peeling. Scratch easy and i only use wood or silicone. And i never used high heat even when i needed to. My cast iron was better
Pos cookware. You cannot touch it with anything metal including if you put it in the sink. Lids have a metal edge as well. Hate this crap and wish I never bought it. Like my stainless much more.
Thank you for this...been trying to find out if these were worth purchasing due to so many influencers using them and they look aesthetically pleasing...I'll stick with my Stainless steel and cast iron pans...
I highly recommend before you start using these pans, you season them like cast iron, before doing any high heat cooking. However it's a one time thing only. After that you never need to do it again and they are even dishwasher safe. My whole family uses these pans and what we discovered is if you do not initially season them. During repeated high heat cooking the granite coating can flake off. However they are not just good for the money. They are awesome in there own right. And if you never do a lot of high heat cooking you will never notice this issue.
The instructions on my set, as well as what I have seen online, specifically say never to use with high heat. They are supposed to only be used with low and medium heat levels. Do you have the regular ones with the non-detachable handles, are the ones that are oven safe with the detachable handles? I think that only the ones that are oven safe can be put in a dishwasher.
Wood and heat plus water never lasts it's common sense. Whoever came up with the idea to use wood like handles was thinking aesthetically and not the basic scientific method between heat, water and wood like products. Water will eventually break down the wooden handles when washed and the heat well, wood is a natural insulator so it will absorb heat which will make the handles feel hot to the touch

That’s what I’m saying.
Cookware like this is totally safe as long as you properly care for them.
Well stated!
