Sounded to me like SC was saying "I don't know much about you." by a sarcastic, but well meaning "I'll know who you are by then"... His body language changed immediately after that... he sort of slumped over and leaned forward. I felt that he felt almost disappointed that his good nature wasn't conveyed properly or that it was going to hurt his standing with the public. I feel kinda bad for him, it pains me to hear when my style of interaction isn't exactly well received.
thanks SColbert for not flirting with your guests. we are tired of late show hosts flirting with their guests, so phony. the age gap and fake giggles are maddening.
I just imagined the Presidential birth day party on June 14, 2017: A lot of boring people standing around an orange mop, when suddenly an Oreo-eating contest breaks out between Chris Christie and Dennis Rodman. One thing leads to another, and an hour later Trump and Kim Jong-un mutually nuke New Jersey. From there on, the party really gets wild, and the guests' heads get dizzy from all the Trump vodka, the effects of nuclear fallout and the sight of Donald Trump making out with his daughter ...
Guys, I couldn't make out the words at 2:16. She said: "Then on the ?????, you see Potus and Flotus and you're like it can't be better than this." Could anybody help me with this?! :)
I really wish Stephen would have used this as an opportunity to discuss the oppression of blacks and people of color by this country. Guess he just doesn't care.
He did when Larry Wilmore was on the show and also when he addressed Kaepernick sitting during the National Anthem. He cares, I just don't think every interview with a person of color should always be about, partially or wholly, oppression. It is an issue and it deserves discussion and I think it's good that we talk about it at all.
CircumstantialFilms I don't remember the exact context of both of those clips but feel free to view them yourself and come to your own conclusions. As for understanding that discrimination is against the law, I can't comment on if that was explicitly stated either. On the Justice Department: They have done in-depth investigations on a few of the more extreme police departments (Ferguson and one other, can't remember) and have, in no uncertain terms and with very blunt language, exposed them for being systemically racist. The Justice Dept. is unfortunately part of the Federal government, and the government is a bureaucracy. That means it moves slow, slower then a lot of people wish it moved. I don't have any information as to the consequences facing the police departments that the JD exposed. I think you latched on to my phrase of "good we talk about it at all" and made out to mean that I think that's the extent of what we should do. Talking about BLM, and the oppression facing people of color, gets the news and stories out to people. News spreads on social media in ways it has never been able to spread before. Maybe 15 years ago, "Talking about it" wouldn't reach as many people, as not nearly as many people viewed the news then as people view social media now. Talking about it is powerful, education is powerful.
shes so beautiful

DeeRock she's sexy
What I wouldn't give to see a clip of that party.
Love how Stephens entire segments are shown on TH-cam as opposed to the monetization geared approach that kimmel and the likes have

SHIT!
i can stand behind the nuking of new jersey, as long as all the toll booths are in the blast radius.
That party sounds like a combination between a frat party and an illuminati meeting.
Its not what you know it,s who you know,
I want to go to that party, shit.
The White House definitely knows how to party. Kind of expensive, though.
Your tax dollars at work! :D

You just pulled a 180 on me. I actually don't know what you are arguing for or about anymore.
This conversation just went from a thrilling consensus to what the fuck in one comment +MrEzzmode +CircumstantialFilms
