The fact that we still don't truly know what his job was is absolutely amazing 😅😅😅😅
He never really had one. People just gave him money lol
Worked at the boys and girls club. Been said many times
And that time he told Martin that he dropped him off at work and all Martin could say was he dropped him off at a building that didn't have no sign 😂
@@jona1han2k4 It's not for the viewers to know where he works. The writers never wrote him being employed anywhere officially. Nobody "gave him money', that's nowhere in the script.
@@TruthTellerTV dude it was a joke 😂… that’s the point of my comment.

Don't forget "Class Act" with Kid n Play
Martin will forever be a classic show in our culture to watch no matter how many times we saw each episode.....it's still makes you laugh with tears 😭😂
Martin is definitely a Cult Classic.... A Different World, The Cosby Show, Living Single ....aw man and they always represented HBCUs... man so many of our black TV shows that showed us in a sensible way.... not like these reality shows making us fit into the stereotypical view... we are better than that.... we just have to guide our kids to better...❤❤❤
I always found it funny that after Martin went off the air Tommy Ford went to New York Undercover and was the head of a secret organization 😂
And that only lasted one season😂 It was not believable. After Eddie died, the show forever changed. I wish they would have gave him what he wanted in his contract.
THANK YOU!

Tommy had the best laugh. I can still hear it just thinking bout. 😂
Absolutely 💯 ❤😂
HA HA HA HA HAAA
I literally just heard it. 😅
Yesss❤❤❤😂Rest Well Tommy
Tommy's laugh was like no others. After the Martin Show he did it in the movie Harlem Night. His laugh was Historical 😂 Like Cole wearing his hats. Those comedians working with Martin Lawrence had a certain brand that they took with them. Real Talk 🤣
For those who dont kno, the story is...the writers forgot to give Tommy a job when developing characters and made it a running joke of the show. Genius!
He's a rich kid.
Wrong. He was given a job in the beginning, children counselor, but they never gave him scenes at his job. This is the point where the running joke comes in.
@@diamondrain2767yeah on the episode with Ms. Trinidad!
@diamondrain2767 I'm not wrong ma'am. That was one episode where they need a way to introduce Ms. Trinidad. Everybody else had professions given to them in character development. Tommy did not have a profession. Hence the reason he only had a "real job" in episode 17 of season 1 and that's it. I didn't make this up, by the way. Martin said this in an interview.
@@kingkai5212 no, you're absolutely incorrect and it's ok ☺️. Tommy wanted the writers and producers to show him at his place of work instead of knowing he's supposed to work as a counselor. They ignored him so much that then it became a running joke.
One of the best running gags in TV history.
"You aint got no job maannn" (Martin voice)😂😂😂
The last statement said was the realest...He was about his FATHÈR'S business! Hallelujah!

Carl Payne a real cool dude bro ima big fan of his work no lie
I just saw Carl Anthony Payne do his first daytime talk show interview on "The Tamron Hall Show". It was enjoyable.
Tommy worked at a community center for kids
It's crazy cause they said it on that particular episode when martin n Gina were spying on him
Exactly. It was in the early episode of the first season And they only mentioned it one time throughout the entire series And that was it
They thought Tom dawg was stripping 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tommy had that work, but he didn't clock inn... 😂😂😂
For some reason I always thought Tommy was some Undercover Secret FBI Agent!
Tommy was an undercover cop he had to keep it a secret. Undercover cops never will tell you what they do for a living.
If that were the case, he wasn’t supposed to “clock in!” Tommy wouldn’t have been the ticket puncher; he dressed the part of the man who got people punching tickets…

Funny cuz I’m that uncle now. I can’t really describe what I do for a living but I get paid very handsome to do it, 6 figures, but I just find it hard to explain to others. Only my coworkers undertand . The bad part is I’m on call and my clients are drug addicts so people I assume I sell drugs .
