It's interesting to see such a modern locomotive on SRR alongside her predecessors of steam. We're lucky to have a railroad that still uses steam for both passenger and freight use and we can feel what it was like in that transitional period when steam and diesel worked together.
90 looks so pretty when she's chuffing in the distance. Everytime I go there and see the train coming as soon as I see that light I get all giddy and excited like a little girl again. I guess I'm just a little tomboy for life but I'd much rather be around Locomotives than makeup kits
Great Video! Also,at the crossing at 2:05 it shows on Google Earth they have put up Exempt signs under the Crossbucks on both sides of the crossing. Does anyone know why they did that? I’m so confused over it.
The reasoning behind that is because that stretch of track that crosses PA 741 is so rarely used people are told to ignore the signs and keep moving. Strasburg will flag the crossing if there has to be a move over 741.
The exemption allows school buses to ignore the signs since they are so rarely actually used. There is probably a State Law that dictates that they must stop.
Hi, just subscribed! I noticed you use the Takstar SGC-598 as your external microphone. I just bought this mic and would like to know your opinion on it, to my opinion it sounds pretty good, I am getting the deadcat as well to perhaps eliminate most of the wind noise. But otherwise, great videos!
Thank you! I have had it for a good year and I will say for a lower end Microphone it works very well! I have never used the 10db Gain on it but overall it preforms pretty well! Never had any problems either and I mainly bought it since I only wanted the train noise in the shot and not any other background noise. Also thanks for subscribing! I will check out your channel and subscribe back.

CSX has a lame excuse for their heritage units. ALL THEY DO IS PUT A FREAKING STICKER ON THE SIDE OF THEIR LOCOMOTIVE. IS IT TOO MUCH TO REPAINT THE LOCOMOTIVES INTO THEIR PREDECESSOR'S PAINT SCHEMES

Rail crossing stops by school buses is federal law.

I use a Canon HF G30. If you know how to Manually shoot video and know how to position yourself correctly I find it is a very good camera to use!
Why was the NS PRR at the museum?
It was there for some event. It had to do with the PRR so they brought in 8102 because it is the Pennsylvania unit.

The Pennsylvania was on 22W last I heard going through Ohio.
But soon, when PRR 8102 is retired, it will be on display in the railroad Musuem of PA and it will be replaced by a PRR 4-10-4 Type Locomotive!!!....
