    I'd recommend one of these easily over those awful FIAT 500's

    I've an auto one you guys imported for me. Had a Beat for 12 years. The S660 is stunning. It sprints amazingly despite having 658ccs. Yes, a pocket rocket! Locally (Bedford) once was followed by a mk2 NSX. Easy to see how similar they looked. Interestingly the Beat was designed at the same time as the mk1 NSX and has several crossovers. (scoops, mtrec engine details, etc)

    On the "first kei-car with a 6-speed" thing : now that I think about it, you might be right. Most kei cars came with a 5-speed semi-auto or a CVT. The manual options I know are from Daihatsu & Suzuki, and they're both 5-speed.
    Yeah, Honda might be the first to offer a 6MT kei-car.

    With my second Honda Beat being picked up tomorrow, the S660 really interests me as the modern equivalent! I completely agree too, 80mph in a Kei car feels like 180mph!

    I just bought 2015 S660 Concept Edition, with just 3000km August 2022. It drives really nice and a lot of fan. It will need new tyres as tyres fitted with car are originals means 8 year old now. My car was loaned to Red Bull Japan for their filming with F1 drivers just before 2022 Japanese Grand Prix. My car was driven by Pierr.

    Don't buy this if you are tall, you will hit your head on the roll bar. Such a cool car, though.
    It came on ADVAN AD08 tires from factory, too. In spite of the light weight, the body structure is stiffer than the S2000's.

    Does any one know why these aren't available in the USA? I heard one person say it was because they are so small, but motor cycles are legal here and you can get any smaller or more dangerous than that. I would LOVE to have one! If they ever did come to USA I think it would be awesome if they made it a hybrid it would give it more power and would increase gas mileage also. The instant torque from electric engine of hybrid I think would give it a nice punch.

      They are tuneable to a degree, whilst still being reliable. Spoon do a load of power / torque / response mods for the S660.

    • @Blockbuster2033
      @Blockbuster2033 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You wouldn't even need a more power. I currently daily a 50hp 1.1l mk3 Fiesta after having driven a last gen Mazda 3 with 165hp for a year and the Fiesta is plenty fun. I imagine a car with similar weight but 15 more hp to be great. Granted, rip out the 660ccm turbo motor and replace it with a 1000ccm naturally aspirated motor with similar power, maybe the motor from the current civic but without the turbo. I guess that would even produce 75hp.

      The engine is already squeezed in there, nothing bigger will fit without serious chassis bashing, I have measured my h22 to see if it fits the the engine and box are as wide as the s660 nearly.
      HKS do the Gt100r kit for this. Put out 112bhp & 100lbft in mine. It's fun, quick and snappy.
